Summer is finally coming to an end in Death City and what better way to celebrate it (as well as Keroro finally reopening Metokkori R after a tiny incident involving shelves falling over like dominoes thanks to Hamel) than blatant disregard for asking permission properly!

And parfaits based on 'people of interest' as determined by a green frog with nothing but his profit margin in mind.

Going up all around Death City are colourful posters with the blacked out silhouettes of 8 parfaits and a 9th labelled simply as 'CHALLENGER: Nominate your friends!"

Here is how this will work:

Keroro will release 8 parfaits based on the two Death Scythe pairs (Kanji/Naoto, Cloud/Sephiroth), Watch Head+Partner (Neji/Lee) and Agency Head+Partner (Edgeworth/Genesis). Menu for that will be up shortly.

The 9th parfait will be a People's Choice parfait, determined by your nominations and votes!
(Voting ballots are given out for every $2 spent at either Metokkori R or Hikan Cafe but the final winner will be determined by RNG.)

Parfaits will begin selling from August 15th all the way till September 1st when the 9th and final parfait will be released for an extremely limited run.

So does your character have a sweet tooth? Or maybe they just want to be able to walk into the Hikan Cafe and order a "Kanji".

Either way.

(Keroro may also be persuaded to hire extra help for this. Just sayin'.)

Hello everyone! It has come to my notice Death City needs more big social events, so me and a couple of other muns have been trying to put together a Summer Gala for our characters. There is still a game-wide plot waiting for us before the gala, but I wish to give everyone time to plan, plot and decide what to do and that's why I'm making this ooc announcement so early.

WHEN
First, the gala would happen during ONE NIGHT (and maybe morning, okay), and I would like to make a quick voting of when should the Gala happen IC-ly. However, if you are worried, and to make this possible for players, the log for the gala will be posted a week earlier to let everyone tag and play out their plots, so when it actually happens in game, players have an idea what will happen.

Due to game wide plots and also a slightly (note the slightly) realistic ic-ly time ratio without making the players wait far too long, we (along with the mod's help) have decided a good time for the gala would be by the end of July, specifically from 26th onwards (18th June in game). Now the exact date, I would prefer to leave it up to you.

Let me know when you'd prefer for it to be IN GAME, and remember the log will be posted one week prior to that date.

The gala will be held IC-ly on the 20th June, which makes it 2nd August in real life. The log for the gala will be up 26th July (in 4 irl days).

WHERE
The gala would be by the Shibusen City Park's swimming pool so drunk people can undress and go swim naked. I don't have an official map of the place, but there will be several tents set up, each for a specific area. They are also making use of the Swimming pool building for the lavatories, coat room and most likely bar.

WHO
This Gala is meant for BOTH Guests AND natives. A way to keep good relations and also a way to avoid surprise bomb attacks, because part of the city will be there. This is also why we will need the Watch.

It will be formal attire, which means everyone needs to get a fancy suit. It's recommended and insisted that your character doesn't come alone. This means that YES please make your character ask for someone to be their pair during the Gala - preferably with everyone watching!

HOW AND WHAT
This all started because Condesce likes big shiny things, big parties where she can show off and because I really wanted a Gala to pick dresses for my characters |8 so Condesce contacted Keroro and they decided that wow, it might be cool to have a gala indeed. However, I know well if Condesce threw a party, a group of characters would not come and I don't wish to leave anyone behind. That's why I've decided that Keroro and Eve's business would be the host and NOT Condesce, giving opportunity to whoever can't stand the crazy empress to still come. ICly, Condesce choose this because she doesn't want to take a stand just yet - she is waiting to get have power first; meanwhalemeanwhile, she will use others.

So, Metokkori R will be the official host of this Gala and the ones who will invite everyone through the network.

However, I really wanted to make this, you know - BIG. So I thought, let's bring more people in. That's why I asked for Lily's "Yesterday's Magic", World’s End and the Watch to also be involved in the gala. So icly, we have the Gala hosted by Metokkori R, with help from Crockercorps, Yesterday's Magic, World’s End and The Watch.

Other characters will be helping as well, such as:
Cupid - decorate and party planning logistics.
Karina - music
Kanaya - dresses and makeup and hairstyles and also emergency-fixes for clothing mishaps or hairstyles during the event
Hamel - music
Nanami - music
Shinji- music
John - music

Native NPCs will be helping serving and preparing the gala as well.

TO BE PART OF IT
Like I said, I would like to make this big and have as many people as possible involved in making this gala. I also don't know who exactly has what job and what exactly can each person offer. That's why I would to know if anyone wishes to help? Like, your characters works somewhere that provides food? - great, let's have them provide the Gala with food. Your character can play an instrument at the gala, or is a DJ and they'd like to be part of the entertainment? - let me know and we will make it happen.

If you think your character can IC-ly help, let me know.

PREPARING THE GALA and PREPARING FOR THE GALA
There will be an IC announcement pretty soon, letting everyone know that in 10 days there will be a Gala and everyone is invited. Characters are welcome to play out shopping for attires, learning how to dance, ask other characters out. If you want to play out the actual Gala preparation, you are welcome to, but I'll let you know Condesce and Keroro will be icly contacting the people that wish to be part of it (whoever wants to offer their character to help out).

THREADS
So, the gala log will have the following threads SO FAR: "Arrival/Coat room (aka, what is your character wearing)", "Dinning tables", "Bar", "Ballroom", "Swimming pool", "Lavatories", "Watch area", "Park". The Ballroom thread will have a sub-thread for Partners to dance (Meister-Weapon partners, I mean).
Anyone will be welcome to create their own threads, of course. And if you have any idea or suggestion for things you'd like to see, let me know! C:

So I think that's all! Use this post to plot and also there is a thread where you can ask questions, give opinions, critics, comments, suggestions and so on!

Hey there, new folks! Welcome again to Soul Campaign!

As you guys get acclimated (or harassed by Excalibur in the Intro Log, sorry Kratos), we the mods would like to bring you up to speed on something happening in the next day change going up tomorrow!

First off, there's been a call to arms for all ready and able Meisters and Weapons to head out on a three-star mission. Azusa is available to answer your character's questions involving kishin eggs and witches, but would likely not recommend you head out until you've begun to get a good feel for your new powers.

As for the rest of you, we're leaving the mission sign-ups open for a few more hours, so don't forget to partner up and sign up here! The information and planning post is right here, for your convenience. Fighters will be out for most of the day, until the evacuation ends in success. Show the new guys how it's done!

As for you new guys who are itching for a fight, you've got one!

While the fighters are out in Central America, local thugs are taking advantage of the fact that the main forces are gone, and will be attacking the residential districts. What a welcome, huh? Those guys are jerks. Though you just came in, that doesn't mean you can't give them a good kicking and a chase! Show 'em your stuff! But you're not alone... some folks are staying home tomorrow, and will be right behind you in defense of the districts! Don't be shy- they don't bite. Much. But watch out for that ninja nurse...

Want to give your character a little more time to acclimate? That's perfectly okay! If you'd like to assume your character's room stays untouched during the attack, that's just fine.

Last but not least, a heads up for everyone: The CR Meme, our bi-monthly 'come play with me/let's plot stuff' meme, will be going up on Saturday! Keep your eyes peeled.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here. Have a good night!

Hello again, Soul Campaign! This is a second announcement because we didn’t want to bury you with plot-relevant Tl;Dr and give you a second place to make planning and coordinating plotty things easier!

A lot of fighters have already signed up to help with the evacuating and chaos over in South America, but beware! This time even the characters who are staying home will get their fair share of action!

Remember those weird group of masked people who thought that riling up the populace with anti-Shibusen and anti-guests sentiments would be fun before they apparently kidnapped a couple of people for no good reason besides pilfering their things? Those who got away have been lying low for a while now, spying and stalking you guests with the mirrors they stole, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike and make their own debut that’s going to be even bigger than Black*Star’s! (But before that they had to recover from the terror that is suddenly having Excalibur on their screens. You were not the only ones to suffer from that terrible threat, brave guests of Death City!)

What's going to happen )

Edit: I edited this for clarity and context, please take a look at it even if you read the previous version! - Picaro

Salutations, Soul Campaign! Here's your monthly modpost with what we've got cooked up!

Game-wide Mission!

A while back, a few of the Guest Agents signed up to investigate some strange things that were happening in Central America. They came back with some fragments of metal that, after thorough testing, were found to have traces of Black Blood! Coupled with an intact container that investigators found and brought in for examination, it has been concluded that the fragments came from a container that held a Black Blood compound to poison the water supplies and, in turn, crops and wildlife. The Witches are on the move again.

Those who had been in Death City when the water supply was tainted with Black Blood probably haven't forgotten the chaos it caused and those who hadn't experienced that will get the chance to see it soon enough. Hopefully you've all been training in resisting Madness!

Shibusen has received distress calls from San José in Costa Rica and Tegucigalpa in Honduras, with requests to help evacuate the people of those cities. Madness levels have gone through the roofs and is showing no signs of dying down, rendering the cities uninhabitable. To add to the problem (because we all know when it rains, it pours) the high amounts of Madness have driven many citizens to insanity in both areas; those who consumed the souls of their victims have become Kishin Eggs and are hunting for their next meal...

The mission to San José and Tegucigalpa will take place on May 29th in game, which will fall on this coming Friday the 17th, and mission sign-ups are now available on the Mission Board. Completion of the mission will reward 5 Kishin Egg souls and 5 Meister Points to all pairs who participate. There will also be an announcement from Shibusen soon, so keep your eyes out for that!

New Missions, Deathscythe SOS

The Mission Board has a batch of brand new tasks fresh from the... oven...? You'll find them right here! Take a look at them, and feel free to sign up for whatever adventure tickles your fancy!

Also, a new little feature has been added to the Mission System! Typically, when a pair signs up for a mission, a 20-sided die is rolled. After Meister and Weapon modifiers, a 15 or higher means the mission is a success. But what if the roll comes close, like a 13 or a 14?

That's where Deathscythe SOS comes in! Cloud and Sephiroth, the very first Guest Three-Star Meister and Deathscythe pair, are always on the hunt for malevolent Witches and Kishin Eggs around the world. On any mission dice roll that comes very close to success, agents are given a 50/50 chance that help happens to be in the area, and are asked if they'd like to call an SOS on their communicators. Should they accept, Cloud and Sephiroth will be alerted and will swoop in to turn the tide of battle, changing a near-miss to an automatic success.

This is optional, of course, if for CR reasons or otherwise you would prefer to take the mission failure.

SO TO SUMMARIZE...!

-Mission to two cities in Central America, awarding 5 Kishin Eggs/5 Meister Points! Sign-up is right here, and an IC announcement will be up soon!
-New Missions!
-Cloud and Sephiroth don't mind helping you whup some demon butt if you're in a little pinch!

Feel free to use this post to ask questions and plot amongst yourselves! Have a good one!

Good morning Soul Campaign!

Thanks to a successful rescue operation, the captives are back in safe hands and the culprits behind the kidnapping are currently behind bars. Once the Death City Police Department has finished processing them - should be next day change - they grant permission to the Watch and the Agency to interrogate the perpetrators and build case files as they see fit.

However, the trouble caused by this group is far from over: Upon taking the communicators and catching wind of coordination efforts, the leaders of the group Erinyes have left the building before the operation commenced. They have some nasty plans lined up for the Guests of Death City and two will strike before this month is through (with a plotting post made accordingly) so don't rest easy just yet...

Shibusen will also appear shortly to give a status report on the successful operation and how things currently stand, so be sure to stay tuned!

In the meantime, did you have any comments or questions thus far? Leave 'em here.

Greetings, Soul Campaign!

Those that have gone missing have been found! That evening, Azusa held a meeting in one of Shibusen's classrooms for those interested in joining the final rescue operation, and informed them of the following:

-The captors are civilians all under the same banner, adorned in robes and venetian masks. It's heavily suspected that they may be the ones behind the current riots and anti-Shibusen picketing.

-The captives are under heavy guard in a forgotten tunnel system connected to the sewers. Investigation teams have discovered two entrances into this tunnel system, where the operation will head in and also flank the perpetrators. With the enemy occupied, a third team goes in to get the captives out.

-Mirrors will be placed and directed straight to the clinic. Medics will be on standby on the other side for immediate treatment of captives and fighters. Paramedics may also head in with the operation for emergency purposes and to ensure transport of the injured.

-With cooperation from the Death City Police Department, the goal is to subdue and arrest the masked individuals, and get our missing comrades back. Azusa will stress that these are civilians, don't turn this into a slaughter. However... self-defense is expected. (But that won't stop some of you, will it?) Live suspects = interrogations.

-Traps are undoubtedly littered around the tunnels, crude yet effective. Never underestimate human ingenuity. Proceed with caution. The operation will proceed on the morning of the 13th, with general clean-up of the tunnels for evidence taking place for a few days afterward. After which, interrogations may proceed.

This is your post for a little last-minute extra coordination before the big throwdown (remember: next day change is week-long!). Previous planning post is right here for reference! Will you be treating patients, whupping some tail, making arrests, disarming traps or hurrying a captive to safety?

Got a question? Leave a comment and we'll get to them ASAP!

Good evening, Soul Campaign! The names have been randomized from a very large pool (holy wow, you guys), so let's get this plot started! We apologize in advance: This post is slightly larger than usual.

On May 10th (which will take place on March 8th, one week from the time of this post, and will be a regular day change instead of a week-long one), the following Guests will be cornered, chloroformed, and hauled away in a sack:

Mail "Matt" Jeevas
John Egbert
C.A. Cupid
Naoto Shirogane
Yako Katsuragi

The victims can absolutely fight tooth and nail to get away, but ultimately the kidnappers will be successful. They've been planning something like this for a long time, and aim to be frighteningly efficient.

Victims will wake up together in a weird underground chamber (they left you three lanterns for light in there, aren't they kind?) with their communicators confiscated, alongside anything that could be considered a weapon. Twice a day they'll lower a basket of food and water for you, and will be kind enough to escort you somewhere where you can, er, do your business. This is when those kidnapped will get their first glimpse of the kidnappers, figures dressed in dark, baggy clothing, hoods, and venetian masks. An open log will be made for those kidnapped to freely interact with one another during their imprisonment. What better time to get to know a new face, or speak with someone you always passed on the street before...

But fear not! A rescue team will be assembled and head out on the morning of May 13th (a week-long day change taking place on March 19th to allow ample time for tagging) to go in, kick some masked butt and get their friends back! A log will be made for the rescue as well.

Shibusen will issue the victims brand new communicators upon their return, but some brand new faces may start popping up over the DEMISE Network...

A Timeline, In Short:

-May 10th in-game (March 8th, regular day change) - Kidnapping
-Prisoner Interaction Log going up on May 11th, covers the duration of imprisonment
-May 13th in-game (March 19th, week-long day change) - Rescue Log

As for the rest of you, the City's getting crazier by the day! Looks like diplomats (and maybe a little Calming Wavelength) are needed to try and calm the rioting masses and talk them down, while volunteer groups have to shake a leg harder than ever! As for the gumshoes... there are plenty of sources of information to tap and clues abound. Can you solve the mystery?

If you have any questions, leave a comment! Otherwise, feel free to use this post for event coordination!

And greetings again, Soul Campaign! Let's get started!

As Guests are now aware, accompanied by a Death City Times entry, things in the city are getting pear-shaped. Citizens of Death City are refusing to take Shibusen's tab and are either demanding they pay out of pocket or kicking them out, and some have even taken to violence.

Crime's on the rise in the streets, Guest businesses are getting covered in graffiti if not heckled, and even street punks are getting in on the 'fun'. It's been a year in-game since BREW brought in its first Guest, and Death City's not happy with how the place looks right now.

However, things seem a bit odd. The spike in crime is so sudden, so violent, and almost... instigated.

And that's when a few Guests suddenly go missing. On May 10th (a regular day change taking place on March 8th), mysterious figures will abduct a small number of Guests, taking them to an unknown location within the city where their communicators will be stolen. A rescue effort will be coordinated and executed on May 13th (a week-long day change taking place on March 19th).

So who's going missing? Maybe your character! All interested parties have to do is leave a comment to this post. From there, a small number of victims will be randomly selected from the pool and announced on March 1st along with further details on who these kidnappers are and a little on what they'll be up to next.

Have a question? Leave a comment and it'll be answered as soon as possible!

EDIT: After some thought, it was decided that the day change that the kidnapping occurs will actually be a regular day change as opposed to a week-long instance. We apologize for the inconvenience, and have since edited the real-time dates. They will be noted in the follow-up post.

Hello everyone, Juu here! This time it's not about a Villains mash-up, because there is actually something on the move already, and I would like to invite you all to read a bit about it and also to JOIN THE PLOT if you are interested.

Before anything, this involves the Witches and it will allow your character to work with them.

Demona, who hates all humans, is willing to end this war; but no one said Shibusen had to be the side winning. Seeing Shibusen is clearly out of their depth (she says) and because they are humans, Demona has taken matters into her hands to exterminate all Homo sapiens from the face of this Earth. For that, she has come to the Witches.

She is currently working as a spy for them, giving out every information she can find from the network, the city, and the morning training. This means that, currently, the Witches are getting close information on most guests of Death City, along with Shibusen's actions and City events. They know all about the morale, and they know all about the current state of the city regarding the Nocturne Bazaar incident. Everything Demona is able to get her hands on, they know.

Of course, more than a spy, Demona will be a mean to an end, which is the destruction of Shibusen. The Witches will eventually use the gargoyle lady for much more than just spying. But that's still a secret, let's not give away everything, shall we?

Besides this close contact with the Witches, Demona also has a laboratory. it's currently fully operational (thanks Hyoubu, for all the equipment and materials), and it's at a secret location in the desert that no one but Demona herself know the location of. She will be using this for future plots and also to begin her experiments regarding souls, soul wavelengths, mutations, kishin eggs, Witch magic and technology.

if you are interested in having your character joining this plot, or at least part of it, or simply become Demona's ally in a way or another, this is your chance! The plot is on going and it will not stop, and this is probably the best time to have your character joining in. Villains must unite after all, AHA!

So let me know if anyone is interested.
Any questions, any concerns, any ideas, please ask ahead! I will try to answer what I can (=

So heeeeeeyyyyyy Soul Campaign, I heard you were having problems gettin' partnered. And with making your character's romantic lives suitably awkward and unfortunate!

Lucky for y'all, I am here to fix both of these things- or at least, Cupid is.

What, you thought she wouldn't?

ICly, she'll be announcing all of this information next day change or so- be very, very afraid, guys.

As far as match-ups go, she'll ICly have forms to fill out and e-mail via the Demise network (Meisters Seeking Weapons, Weapons Seeking Meisters, and her standard Matchmaking form), as well as leaving her number for IC inquiries about her services. Or just to chat- she does love to talk. ICly, she'll respond to e-mails with a 'processing' note, and she'll send out a match once she thinks she's found someone suitable. Don't be surprised if she asks characters for interviews- she has to make sure people are being honest with her, after all. OOCly, I'll send out PMs with matchups and pending approval from both muns, Cupid will set characters up on a date to see how things go.

For her show Heartline, 'anonymous' questions can be submitted on her journal here, and she'll read off as many as she can on-air as well take call-ins- how many calls she'll answer depends on how many submissions she gets.

So, if you feel like getting some new CR or just putting your muse through some serious embarrassment, then these shenanigans might just be for you! And if anyone wants to volunteer their character to be one of Cupid's 'special guests', feel free to drop me a line here or on aim [astronavigatrix] or via PM and we'll work something out! Also if anyone has any changes/ideas for things to be put on the forms, don't hesitate to throw them in here- I definitely won't say no to any help fine-tuning Cupid's selection process!

I'm so sorry for being super-duper late with the Agency log. Dishonor on me, dishonor on my cow. The open Agency log will be going up on Monday, April 19, SC time, and I totally forgot the thievery will be done by then so oh well. For more information on the Kuzunoha Detective Agency itself and the not-regular-at-all open log, click here ESPECIALLY if you're interested in having your character join the ranks! Interviews and other such awesome things may be logged there.

Also, if your character should be on the Agency roster and is not because Auste is a giant flaky flake and unsure because she might put someone there who shouldn't be there and stuff, let me know and I'll edit it accordingly!

/rolls out quietly

EDIT: Since the Agency log will be going up AFTER the conclusion of the thief plot, if any Agency peoples are gonna be doing anything special while the thief's around and if you guys want to talk about what will go down for the Agency brigade, this post is for that!
glassworkgenius: (alright!)
[personal profile] glassworkgenius
Hello Soul_Campaign! This is Eli speaking.

In light of the attack on Death City an IC week (and then some) ago, two boys thought it would be nice to start a Volunteer Group to help out the refugees! Tsurugi Yuuichi ([personal profile] itsalright) and Amemiya Taiyou ([personal profile] glassworkgenius) have been putting up recruitment fliers since the 10th, then spoke to Kid about mass producing them (and the volunteer pins!) shortly after. Feel free to handwave your character having joined early, before the announcement of it on DEMISE! They'll only have a few days' lead on everyone else, however.

Said announcement should come up tomorrow, on April 17th. Fun, fun!

And as for the log... I'll be putting it up for a vote! My thoughts are people would be busy over the Christmas time, so I'm thinking
A) The log can be put up the IC date of April 18th, if people are fine with everyone tagging at sporadic times given the season.
OR
B) The log can be put up after New Year, but backdated.

Please vote whichever is more convenient for you!

What is this group, exactly?
Just a bunch of people who want to help out, in a semi-organized system! It's not quite Shibusen level, so people who are miffed with them don't have to put their feelings into account here. It also isn't strictly Death City guests only, there are a number of locals who are also in. Feel free to NPC them for your scenario needs.

While there is only one log planned at the moment, the group will continue its activities until the refugees are able to return home who knows when. Consider it like the Morning Training system.

And our name? DEATH CITY FIXERS. (Taiyou wasn't feeling very creative at the time.)

What activities can I expect?
  • Packing of rations
  • Distribution of the above to an organized line
  • Helping people move out and into Creeping Crypts
  • General clean-up around the area
Yuuichi and Taiyou have gathered sponsors for all of the materials needed! Such as cardboard boxes for the packing and the brooms for clean-up. So no one has to worry about the particulars.

Are our muses allowed to do their own mini-projects under this log?
Of course! Ami, as I recall, has said she was going to have Kanji Tatsumi put up a soup kitchen for the refugees, and get some members of SEES to hopefully help out. Just please post your ideas under here so people have an easier time plotting! O/

Do we get rewards?
Nnnnnot really. This is about giving, not receiving! T'is the season even. IC you only get your volunteer pin and free dinners which are optional to attend. OOC-wise it's a fantastic opportunity for CR, yes?~*~*~*

Taiyou is also just one person so he can't be everywhere at once. He needs leaders. For every division in the activities. He isn't checking credentials, so it'll be first come-first serve on the role, no matter how ill-fit the person is. Not to say they can't oust said person if they're doing that bad a job later on. If no one wants their muse to take charge, then I'll just assign the role to a local! You can sign up in the appropriate thread below.

So, this sure sounds like a lighthearted event. But not everything is sunshine and rainbows.

The mods have spoken to me about there being foreshadowing for the next plot. Of certain individuals who disapprove of Shibusen becoming more vocal. Unfortunately they are too busy to offer NPC-ing at this front, so it will only be included in the narrative, and left free to your interpretation when you tag into a scenario involving them. As far as I know they're only violent in words, not with fists.

And lastly, your character doesn't have to be a volunteer to participate in the log. They can make passing comments to the volunteers they see, help out if they feel like while not officially joining, etc. Maybe they're even the person they're helping move out of Creeping Crypts...

On a more personal note, I owe a massive apology to everyone who's been tagging with me! I've been absent for a variety of reasons, none of which I consider acceptable in being gone or slow as long as I have. I'll backtag into forever, but if you'd like to drop the threads I understand! It's my fault, after all.

Please feel free to contact me on Plurk ([plurk.com profile] 173ELI) or AIM (kampilann) if you have further questions!

Hello Soul Campaign!

Those who are in the Watch, we have been contemplating a mini-plot to run with those who have signed up. It's not anything super huge, but just a little robber that needs to be caught. He's a lone criminal who started off breaking into houses and stealing valuables, but being the adrenaline junkie that he is, he's started stepping up his game by breaking into small shops and convenience stores.

What's planned is that this criminal will do an armed holdup of a convenience store because he needs the adrenaline fix. This is where members of the Watch will come in as they work together in order to capture this criminal!

So what do we need?

Watch members

Sarah Kerrigan will be making an announcement on the in-game 16th or 17th with a little heads up about the criminal. She'll be asking people to keep an eye out for him and provide a physical description of the individual in question. This is more a heads up, given our little thief hasn't used armed robbery just yet. When he does, then it will be assumed she's sent a text based memo of the criminal and asking for Watch members to follow up on it. She can't participate because of her current injuries, much to her disappointment.

On the day (18th?) - The robber will be initially sighted/reported in 'Inner City Residential District' of the city. That's depending on if anyone in that section is interested in playing a part, otherwise we can move it elsewhere. It's no big deal! If anyone is in that section is interested, then make a comment below and we can work things out!

Whoever else in the Watch is interested is free to poke their heads in! What we've got planned is for the robber to try making an escape through a number of different sections of the city, so everyone who wants to be involved can be. Just make sure to post here in this coordination thread to show you're interest.

Last, but certainly not least, we need volunteers to who would like to catch the criminal. Depending on how much interest there is here, will depend on who gets to bag the criminal. If there's one or two people, we can have them automatically catch the criminal together, otherwise if there's four or more people interested, then we'll use the random number generator to pick them for us.

Non-Watch members

If you're not involved in the Watch, you can still be involved in the event! We've thought of two ways people can be included, but feel free to offer your own suggestions as well!

First option - the robber could have broken into their apartments and stolen something of value from them (it would have to be any time from now until in-game April 17th at the latest. You can do this by either just adding it to any logs you do, just mentioning it to a friend, or announce things going missing or whatnot over the network.

Second option - They can be witnesses on the day of the final robbery. This can be either in the convenience store (remember that the robber needs to get away, so they won't be able to obtain them themselves), or during the chase. Like, for example, Watch character A loses sight of the criminal, and non-Watch character B bumps into character A to give sighting information or chooses to follow along to assist said Watch member (good for CR!)

Agency

If anyone from the Agency wants to be involved, they could have already been investigating the previous robberies. Non-player characters coming to them with reports of house break-ins, police reports on them, and police involvement + investigations on the shop robberies. If Devil (or anyone else involved with surveillance) is interested, they could do a network post (or something) describing what the individual looks like from recordings of his get away.

The in-game date this will happen will be the 18th of April (so December 20th/21st). That gives us a little over a week to work things out.

There will be a log going up that everyone can tag into.

Hello everyone! Today I’m calling out for all of you who play a Villain.

For easier plotting and to make said plots more interesting,  it's good to have others to help us and to make the plot even better. But as you know, that can be quite hard, especially if you are playing a villain. Villains are special because they are manipulative assholes who often don't trust anyone and will only screw things up; not just that, but Soul Campaign is a plot driven rpg and it’s actually quite difficult to get villains to do something big when they are surrounded by people who’d quickly try to stop them.

In order to make it easier for those who play villains, me and some other players decided we should gather around the fire and chat a bit about our characters; I'd like to know who are the villains in Death City and who is willing to do villain plotting. For this, it's obviously necessary to learn about the characters, what do they want, and what can they do, and like this it'll be much easier to organize.

For that, I’ve set up a small survey for you guys to answer about your Villain character, and I would like for you to reply to it. It’s in my journal for easier access and so the post won’t get lost in the community.

Now that we have the survey and we have a general idea of what each character wants, we can begin to plot. I’ve put up a brainstorm post where we can discuss things! Why is all of this in MY journal? Simply put, because this way it’s easier to find, than to go look for these posts on the community. Sorry if it bothers any of you!

SO VILLAINS. LET US PLOT AND TAKE OVER DEATH CIT- I mean. You know. Do stuff.

Now, an add-on. I have a plot in motion, along side with Qilby-mun (Doc) and Barricade-mun (Fastback). WE NEED YOU, DEAR VILLAIN, TO JOIN OUR CAUSE. The plot will be big, it will take some time ICly and OOCly and gives us the chance to actually play the bad guys in Death City, which will make the game more engaging - so I hope!

While I don't wish to give away /everything/ about the plot, please know it WILL involve most likely a confront with Shibusen, later on. If you wish to keep your villain quiet and on the good guy's side or out of that sort of trouble, I don't think this plot is for you. However, if you do want to make them the bad guys who want to go against Shibusen, this could be it - the plot is STILL being sketched, and with more people we can make it even better.

If you are interested, send me a note or add me to plurk [plurk.com profile] vilani  , I will tell you what this is all about. For now I kind of want to keep it in secret until I actually get the layout of the thing right. THOUGHT, this is Demona, she wants to kill all humans, Barricade does tool, and Qilby is just an asshole with a huge hat - imagine what these three could do together.

Hi, everybody! It’s Lady of the Thread with a couple of announcements.

It’s been on the character-run businesses page a while and has been mentioned in a few logs but it’s probably time I officially announced it…

Lily Ivory will be opening a vintage clothing shop called “Yesterday’s Magic” soon. It’ll be in the shopping district in Building C, the one that currently has Keroro and Eve’s shops and Northern Lights. She’s looking for employees to help in the shop, to do repairs/alterations, and to help her hunt for inventory (which might include trips outside the city). Shop info and job descriptions can be found here. (EDIT: Forgot to mention the range of stuff that can possibly be found in the shop will go from late 1800s to 1980s.)

Since Lily is a failure with technology and rarely on the network, the jobs are being advertised IC via flyers posted around town. Characters interested in working there may assume they came across one of them and found out how to contact her that way. (Or if you’d prefer to meet her in person, she also had some of the flyers in the open log I posted a few days ago.)

And the second thing is a vintage-themed party as an opening event for the shop!

Preliminary plans are for it to be at Northern Lights one evening since it’s just a couple of doors over from the shop. A buffet plus decorations, music and dancing from various decades. And attendees are encouraged to wear vintage styles.

I haven’t chosen an exact date yet since I wanted to get input on whether there were any preferences first. I’m aiming to have it as a little fun thing people can play with during the holidays since the mods have said there won’t be any Witches or giant bugs or such to crash the party then! So, if I’m counting correctly, possible dates would be around April 18-21 in-game, which should correspond respectively to OOC dates of December 21, December 25, December 28, and January 1.

Does anyone have a preference out of those dates? Any of them works for me since all my family and relatives are local and we never do much for the holidays. But I realize some people might be traveling or otherwise have plans so I wanted to get opinions first.

Also, if you have other suggestions, advice, or things you’d like to see at the party, let me know! I can also be contacted at [plurk.com profile] embroideress.

Hey all, this is Cager, Lee and Obito-mun!

So, Lee got a little carried away and suggested that there be a Chest-baring Contest to counter the Beauty Contest. Basically he was told that since he's a man that he wouldn't win, so he thought a test of Manliness was in order!

HOWEVER! Lee is not the best at coordinating... anything. And there were quite a lot of opinions from those who commented to his post, so! It has officially become a general Manliness Contest... which means anything goes! Contestans can do all that they want to express their idea of Manliness! So far, there are two judges, Haruno Sakura and Eridan Ampora, but Lee is looking for a third! and a third judge has been found! Hatake Kakashi!

Now, this competition is completely unofficial; and if we actually decide to to this thing it'll be shortly after the official Beauty Contest. So here's the questions, Campaigners:

Do we want to actually log anything or will we just handwave this thing happening?
I'm totally cool with randomizing who the winner(s)/runner-up(s) are, but would you guys rather vote it oocly? (I'll also ask an uninvolved party to do that randomizing, if it's all the same to you guys)
Do we want prizes? Because Lee totally will donate some cash to that kind of thing, but what do you think would make a good prize? Lee's idea would be a set of weights or something...
Who wants to actually be in this competition? This is a Show Up type of competition, so you can sign up your characters oocly here. Sorry, but you can't force/sign-up someone into the competition if they don't want to be! (though you can TRICK your character into it if they are gullible! Just check out this comment!)

PLEASE SIGN UP QUICKLY! I know this is last minute, but I would like the winners to be randomized before the log goes up so we can have a giveaway section for the prizes! :3

Hello everyone! Today I’m calling out for all of you who play a Villain.

For better plotting and to make said plots more interesting, I believe one person needs more than just their own character; it's of course interesting to have others to help us in order to bring out the best (or the worst) of our characters, and create an engaging plot that most players would appreciate and want to join. Villains are special because they are manipulative assholes who often don't trust anyone and will only screw things up; not just that, but Soul Campaign is a plot driven rpg and it’s actually quite difficult to get villains to do something big when they are surrounded by people who’d quickly try to stop them.

I'm turning to Soul Campaign for a touch of help here with some RP inspiration.

I unfortunately had to hiatus not long after arriving in the game and for most of June/July while I work on an internship and a class RL. Everything is settled now and I'm back but I'm finding it hard to get into the swing of things since Nagi really ought to be more ingrained in activities by now IC-wise.

I know I've spoken to a few about CR at various times and I'd love to pick back up on all of that, as well as getting into new things with her. She regularly attends the morning trainings and I'm still in search of a partner for her as well (she's a Meister).

Thanks all, looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. :)

I’ll be going to Toronto for several days to visit relatives and won’t have a computer or internet access at all while I’m out of the country. So, I’ll be on hiatus for a week, starting the 9th. I’ll try to continue working on the threads I have going until then but if anyone wants to discuss or handwave things, let me know before I leave. (And sorry I’ve been slow on my older threads lately. Between rereading the novels to prepare for the canon update and getting ready for vacation, I haven’t gotten in as much tagging this past week or so.)

While I’m gone, Lily Ivory will return to San Francisco, moving from near the end of book 2 to near the end of book 3. In that time, she’ll wrap up the art school demon case and then be an unofficial occult consultant for the police on a bizarre murder, where the victim is found dead on the dining table of his 13th floor penthouse, stabbed with a shard from a broken mirror and surrounded by bad luck symbols. And things just get weirder with devil worshipers, a disappearing corpse, and evil witches. Lily will also learn a bit of snake magic, in the form of a hex that makes the victim think they have snakes inside of them. (Good thing that doesn’t work here, huh? >_>;)

Personality-wise, Lily will be extra lonely and insecure when she comes back since she also gets into several arguments due to her meddling during the third book and the guy she had been dating couldn’t accept that she was a witch and said they should just be friends. So, most of her friends back home are varying degrees of angry/upset with her. Plus, she was under the effects of a hex which diminished her powers.

She’ll disappear sometime on the 13th in-game and come back late at night on the 15th or in the wee hours of the morning on the 16th.

And this is where possible plotting comes in… Lily is somewhat difficult to play right now because she’s a witch and paranoid about the war here. So, she’s been hiding that she had anything to do with the supernatural and there’s a lot of stuff I can’t let her say out loud. (She already hid this kind of stuff in her canon so it’s been much worse here.) Several characters have already noticed suspicious things about her and after she comes back would be a good time to drag some of her secrets out. I think it would be good for having her progress and getting more involved here.

If any characters acquainted with Lily are interested, they can visit her apartment while she’s gone. Maybe, they’re just dropping by unannounced or maybe she invited them for dinner since she’s been lonely lately. But she’s not there since BREW sent her back, the door’s unlocked, and there will be some strange things they can find.

In a witch’s apartment )

If any characters want to get together and log poking around Lily’s apartment, I can start a post to set the scene before I leave. (But, of course, I can’t actually tag it myself since Lily’s supposed to be gone.) And after she comes back, there can be questions, accusations, blackmail attempts or whatever. She’ll most likely also get an accidental network post when she returns for more incriminating stuff. >_>;; And not remember everything right away because it's been 3-4 weeks back in her world.

EDIT: Added some more info to what can be found in Lily's apartment. And I'm sorry to the people I owe tags to. Getting packing and last minute paperwork done before my trip took longer than I was hoping. -_-; And I have a 7AM train to catch in the morning so I'm going to bed as soon as I get the log for this posted.
