Event - Trouble in Central America!, New Missions, and Deathscythe SOS

Game-wide Mission!

A while back, a few of the Guest Agents signed up to investigate some strange things that were happening in Central America. They came back with some fragments of metal that, after thorough testing, were found to have traces of Black Blood! Coupled with an intact container that investigators found and brought in for examination, it has been concluded that the fragments came from a container that held a Black Blood compound to poison the water supplies and, in turn, crops and wildlife. The Witches are on the move again.

Those who had been in Death City when the water supply was tainted with Black Blood probably haven't forgotten the chaos it caused and those who hadn't experienced that will get the chance to see it soon enough. Hopefully you've all been training in resisting Madness!

Shibusen has received distress calls from San José in Costa Rica and Tegucigalpa in Honduras, with requests to help evacuate the people of those cities. Madness levels have gone through the roofs and is showing no signs of dying down, rendering the cities uninhabitable. To add to the problem (because we all know when it rains, it pours) the high amounts of Madness have driven many citizens to insanity in both areas; those who consumed the souls of their victims have become Kishin Eggs and are hunting for their next meal...

The mission to San José and Tegucigalpa will take place on May 29th in game, which will fall on this coming Friday the 17th, and mission sign-ups are now available on the Mission Board. Completion of the mission will reward 5 Kishin Egg souls and 5 Meister Points to all pairs who participate. There will also be an announcement from Shibusen soon, so keep your eyes out for that!


New Missions, Deathscythe SOS

The Mission Board has a batch of brand new tasks fresh from the... oven...? You'll find them right here! Take a look at them, and feel free to sign up for whatever adventure tickles your fancy!

Also, a new little feature has been added to the Mission System! Typically, when a pair signs up for a mission, a 20-sided die is rolled. After Meister and Weapon modifiers, a 15 or higher means the mission is a success. But what if the roll comes close, like a 13 or a 14?

That's where Deathscythe SOS comes in! Cloud and Sephiroth, the very first Guest Three-Star Meister and Deathscythe pair, are always on the hunt for malevolent Witches and Kishin Eggs around the world. On any mission dice roll that comes very close to success, agents are given a 50/50 chance that help happens to be in the area, and are asked if they'd like to call an SOS on their communicators. Should they accept, Cloud and Sephiroth will be alerted and will swoop in to turn the tide of battle, changing a near-miss to an automatic success.

This is optional, of course, if for CR reasons or otherwise you would prefer to take the mission failure.

If anyone needs partners, Amaterasu (Calming Wavelength), Valentine (Soulmyeyesareuphere), and Rosalia (Demon Ribbon) are available for the game-wide mission. Also, anyone want to take these three out on a normal mission?

Naoto and Kanji are obviously going out together to kick Kishin egg ass. If anyone wants to bother them.

If anyone wants to take Cupid up on this, I'd be more than glad to have her go on a Big Deal Mission like this! I'm also always looking for more Meisters to throw Cupid at for regular missions if anyone's interested in that!


Otherwise, Fabiola and Meenah are likely both in, so if anyone wants to team up with them and their partners for CR and junk I am totally up for that too.

I so want Psii in on this. Would anyone like to partner up with him? He's a pair of flight goggles that give his Meister a limited version of his telekinesis.

Mello is going with Near, naturally, and if anyone wants to join them, that would be great! We're also getting Near hurt, because we're terrible people, so does anyone want to give the boys a hand after that?

L and Light want in on this business, of course! But they have a stormy, strange, fickle relationship that can make things interesting and complicate missions, soooo. There's that, if anyone wants an added element of unneeded danger in their Kishin whupping adventures.

Raiden and Fujino are going to try their best, but they're both still pretty inexperienced when it comes to these types of missions. I'm planning on having Raiden get injured during this fight.

I've gone this over with Fujino's player and it's totally alright if Cloud and Sephiroth want to help these two after they've gotten their butts kicked.

Lily will be stuck with Lezard for this and hopefully, they won't set anything other than the kishin eggs on fire... Not sure what else is happening beyond that yet.

Still finding ways to get back into the game after an extended hiatus so I would love to have Atem participate in the game wide missions. If anyone is in need of a meister.

He's also still doing normal missions too but won't be unpartnered for too much longer.

Condesce will be with Winters since he is the only Weapon she has managed to find that will work with her. They are insane and blood crazy, so if anyone dares to approach them during the mission, there is a high chance Condesce will attack you. So. yeah.

Saya will be going with Sendo, of course!

Matt will be looking for a partner to go on this mission and also any other missions! He is a Weapon, a Portal gun who creates portals and shoots bullets.

Winters will be going with Condesce because the insane pair needs to stick together and all of that for great insane justice.

Clair is open for partnering up with people. He is a Meister with Soul Precognition.

Karkat is so down for an awesome action packed first mission, if anyone wants to partner up with him. He has no idea what he's getting himself into.

Auron will be around. He is an unpartnered Meister with the ability of Soul Armor if any Weapons want to team up.

Alucard will be with Raidou but available for shenanigans.

Zero will be with Chika but also available for kicking ass together.

The Bakurae will be both staying in the city so that Yami Bakura can show the nicer one of them how you can fight people without having to trust in the power of good (blunt objects like bats will play a major role in this.)

Hades will most likely also stay home to watch the fireworks unless somebody wants him as a Weapon for during the evacuation. |D

Hamel wants to make money. So he wants to go on the mission. But he has no partner. He is a meister! :) So if anyone wants to massively fail a mission or miraculously win it I suppose depending on outcomes LOL there will be arguing. And ridiculousness.

Raidou will likely be with Alucard, but he's available for plotting if anyone wants him.

Johan Will be going with his shonen dork buddy, Judai! Shinji, on the other hand, will probably be sticking around the city unless someone wants to drag him along, which is something I'd be totally open to if anyone wants to pair up with him.

:U I definitely need to get Dualscar in on this one. He'd excel in the climate, and he's got a high resistance to the madness wavelength. Since he's a weapon, if anyone is interested in giving it a go with Dualscar to South America, then I'd be excited to give it a go!

Genesis will be going along with Edgeworth because how could they turn down the chance to participate in a big battle?

But here's the catch: Genesis is going to get infected with Black Blood from a kishin egg's bite, probably while protecting Edgeworth. It won't show its effects immediately, but he'll be the more hurt of the two throughout the mission. So anyone who wants to find them/work with them, do let us know o/
