Hello, Soul Campaign!

This is a post to gauge interest and gather ideas for a "social club" of sorts in Death City. If you play a villain, or vaguely antagonistic/evil/whatever character, than this post is probably of interest to you. ♥

As a note, this idea is pretty sketchy right now, which is why we want some input. So if things don't make sense, just ask, and we can try to figure it out!

Basically, there are a lot of discontented villains/etc. in Death City. Currently they are floating around, some have little brocircles, but as a whole there isn't really a sense of community or anything that brings them together. This is where this 'club' would come in!

The current idea is that a group of individuals who hang out together (no idea who yet) have the idea to start inviting their likeminded acquaintances to join their get-togethers/bitch sessions about the way things are done in Death City. The only thing required is that the inviter knows the invitee well enough to know they share the same ideology of the group. Rinse, repeat, and eventually, every villain who knows a villain who knows a villain will be invited to join!

There's a vague similarity to old-fashioned fraternities, at this point. Our characters will know, of course, that malcontents are usually not encouraged to become buddies and form organizations. So this will be like a secret society, with ways to communicate covertly (cell phones, tags, codes?) and ways to ensure people really are in the loop, so nosy people don't go nosing about to find out what they're doing.

Eventually, we may figure out some bigger stuff for them to do, but for now it's like the Joy Luck Club of Evil. Without mah jong. Unless someone brings tiles. Then it's exactly like the Joy Luck Club.

TL;DR:

We want to start a fraternity of villainy in Death City.

We need people interested in helping form this discontented faction. Specifically, we need help with organization, and… well. Recruitment, eventually, since many of our villainous bros are not the most socially adept creatures. Oh. And there will be snacks at meetings. Best club ever, y/y.

I'm really sorry, but I'm going to be dropping Dad Egbert/pastrykind. This is something I've been debating on-and-off as of late, and there are a lot of factors like bad timing and whatnot but today I sat down and realized I just don't really have much drive to do things with him here as compared my other characters--and it shows, really.

So yeah, I'm dropping. Again, I apologize to the people I had plans with and to the rest of the awesome Homestuck cast around these parts; I wish I could have made a better Dad here, I really do! But I think overall this is probably the best decision.

That said: Namatame, Naomi, and Emil are still in action and unlikely to be gone anytime soon. So nobody's rid of me yet!

Hello, Campaigners!

After some deliberation, we've decided to allow players to apply for up to two characters* for the August cycle to make up for the deficiency between August and December. However, all activity requirements must be followed, so to app your second and third character together, you must have passed the past two months of activity check prior to the application cycle.

We will be requiring the July 1-7 and August 1-7 AC passes, since the cycle cut-off is August 18.

Please be reminded that exemption from AC because of the character being new, partial passes due to hiatus, or passing through hiatus are not accepted for the application.

Separate the two applications into two emails and note in the subject title "[2nd app]" for the second character.

This will only be applied to the August round and is only available as an option to the current players of the game.


*Provided that you only have up to two characters apped in the game right now. The character slots remain at four.
