Salutations, Soul Campaign!

During June's mod post we mentioned that the bulk of the next plot will be occurring in July. We will actually be kicking off that plot during the last week of June. Before that though, we need to get some willing victims volunteers for the next plot!

For phase one of the next plot, characters who sign up for certain missions will find themselves attacked and subdued by Witches while they're abroad. What is their aim? Well, some time ago, the Kishin Asura had appeared near Death City, causing the Guests to go insane but also to regain a small fraction of their original powers (these will need to be approved once we have a definite list of candidates). That information has made its way to the ears of a Witch and she's interested to see if it's true...

Of course, the Witches don't know who has powers that BREW has suppressed, so feel free to sign up even if your character has no canon powers! Even if they have no canon-powers there is room for them to participate in this event as well. (Besides, it won't stop the Witches from doing whatever they had planned anyway.)

The missions will be OOCly assigned to the volunteers who are chosen so don't worry about signing up for something by accident! ICly, these characters would have signed up for the missions at the Mission Board.

This means that the characters will be gone from Death City for a few in-game days (but there will be a log for those who wish to log out the encounter with the Witch).

Due to the nature of this phase of the plot characters must be signed up as pairs because there are no missions for single characters. However, your character does not need a permanent partner for you to sign them up! All they need is someone to go on a mission with, so this mission is also open to all new characters as well.

Your characters will also play a larger role during the second phase of the plot which begins on the day change of June 16th which is July 19th to 22nd OOCly. Please be aware of that before you sign up.

There are up to 9 slots open for this event (so since there is a maximum of nine pairs being picked there can be 18 characters chosen.) If we get more volunteers than that, we will decide using RNG.

When you say that our characters will also play a larger role during the second phase of the plot, do you mean any/all characters, or just the ones who are picked for the first phase?

I meant the ones who were picked, mostly. That being said, the plot isn't only going to involve just the people being picked! Phase 2 is the part where the rest of the city becomes involved in some way of form.

It's just that the characters who are picked have a role that only they can fill for this event so we needed to make sure anyone who signed up was aware of that.

...after spending a whole morning setting up the dates I then proceed to forget to mention the start date. Go me. orz

Anyway! The even officially begins on Friday, July 28th! However, the characters will disappear in three batches (so not all at once. Hence the large number before anyone realizes something is up.)

There will be a second coordination post with more dates and information on Tuesday.

But if you want further clarification feel free to ask!

Can I have some details on the mission(s) that will be targeted for abduction?

There will be three general areas the mission go-ers end up in for these missions. (Destination to be decided.)

They will be in South America since there are a lot of those on the Mission Board right now. Otherwise, they'll be pretty normal run of the mill, 'the local government thinks there is a bird-like Kishin Egg killing people. Go kill it."

(Except they weren't Kishin Eggs. Whoops.)

What kind of personality would they work well with?: Umm... anything. Unless your character is a complete and total jerk, Chika should be able to work alright with any of them. She also has Soul BFF, so your character and her need to be really incompatible for her to not be able to resonate with them.
