Event Part 2: Fighting on the front, getting attacked back home (version 2)

Hello again, Soul Campaign! This is a second announcement because we didn’t want to bury you with plot-relevant Tl;Dr and give you a second place to make planning and coordinating plotty things easier!

A lot of fighters have already signed up to help with the evacuating and chaos over in South America, but beware! This time even the characters who are staying home will get their fair share of action!

Remember those weird group of masked people who thought that riling up the populace with anti-Shibusen and anti-guests sentiments would be fun before they apparently kidnapped a couple of people for no good reason besides pilfering their things? Those who got away have been lying low for a while now, spying and stalking you guests with the mirrors they stole, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike and make their own debut that’s going to be even bigger than Black*Star’s! (But before that they had to recover from the terror that is suddenly having Excalibur on their screens. You were not the only ones to suffer from that terrible threat, brave guests of Death City!)

What’s going to happen is that this group of stupid humans radical troublemakers with guerilla tactics is going to take advantage of the sudden absence of the fighters that headed out to aid against the chaos in San José and Tegucigulpa to raise trouble right at the heart of things for their own later benefit. They are going to wait until they’re sure that the coast is clear and the fighters are out and then there will be a sudden gathering of robed, masked individuals and local street thugs they'd paid good money to do what they do best in the residential district: Do damage.

Armed with stones, clubs, crowbars, molotov cocktails and a huge grudge (maybe some with one that's too huge - isn’t that suspicious?), their attack will be quick and fierce. Their targets? Casualty Communal, Death City Heights, the one- and two-bedroom apartments, and Fatality Condominiums. Damage will range from broken windows to alcohol-fueled fires and any other sort of collateral damage from anyone who tries to stop them from doing their worst. (Since you aren’t all going to just sit back and roast marshmallows while the world burns, I hope!) These guys are out to make you hurt, and they want to wreck and burn anything of yours that they can reach (and if they can make it look like you did as much damage as they did, all the better!)

Most of all, they want you (and the poor new characters coming in just the day before) to feel as unwelcome and unwanted as possible.

Of course the guests won’t be left fending for themselves in this chaos! The less insane people from the city will try to help you guys (please rescue the nice old little ladies who tried to clobber your would-be attacker with a stick) and after the first chaos (what do you mean, it’s not witches and kishin eggs this time?) the forces of Death City Police and Fire Department will arrive as swiftly as possible once they get past the roadblocks the thugs have put in their way to pursue the ones responsible and help put out the fires. Besides the initial chaos of attacking, defending and putting out fires, characters are also welcome to join in the pursuit of their robed attackers (with Police NPCs available upon request, just ask for one in this post), but you may find a lack of familiar masks. The ringleaders, who call themselves by the flowery name of The Erinyes, were clever enough to only send their mooks on this crazy party so you can count on them to make another move sooner or later.

Please note that while it can be easy to forget that your enemies are just normal people, the DC police would like to remind you all that they would prefer to get them in one piece in the end if possible!

The fires will be out and the damage done long before the fighters come back from the evacuation.

PS: This is also a chance for any evil characters who’d like to use the chaos to make their own moves if you’d like them to! Just give us a head’s-up what you want them to do so that we won’t be out of the loop!

Also, please do keep in mind the wishes of other players whose characters live near to yours when deciding the damage level done to the buildings. You can use this post to coordinate with your floormates and maybe even host a clean up party for all the mess left behind!

With that, you're welcome to use this post specifically for asking questions and for planning among yourselves in regard to this this flip side of the main event: Those staying behind, what will you do? What of those returning to smoke and broken glass?

Edit: I edited this for clarity and context, please take a look at it even if you read the previous version! - Picaro

Since she might not be going, Valentine is responsible for one of the Residential Districts. Cause any trouble and she's taking you down. And she suppose Casualty Communal is close enough so she'll be around it and Death City Heights.
