Rescue Operation Coordination

Greetings, Soul Campaign!

Those that have gone missing have been found! That evening, Azusa held a meeting in one of Shibusen's classrooms for those interested in joining the final rescue operation, and informed them of the following:

-The captors are civilians all under the same banner, adorned in robes and venetian masks. It's heavily suspected that they may be the ones behind the current riots and anti-Shibusen picketing.

-The captives are under heavy guard in a forgotten tunnel system connected to the sewers. Investigation teams have discovered two entrances into this tunnel system, where the operation will head in and also flank the perpetrators. With the enemy occupied, a third team goes in to get the captives out.

-Mirrors will be placed and directed straight to the clinic. Medics will be on standby on the other side for immediate treatment of captives and fighters. Paramedics may also head in with the operation for emergency purposes and to ensure transport of the injured.

-With cooperation from the Death City Police Department, the goal is to subdue and arrest the masked individuals, and get our missing comrades back. Azusa will stress that these are civilians, don't turn this into a slaughter. However... self-defense is expected. (But that won't stop some of you, will it?) Live suspects = interrogations.

-Traps are undoubtedly littered around the tunnels, crude yet effective. Never underestimate human ingenuity. Proceed with caution. The operation will proceed on the morning of the 13th, with general clean-up of the tunnels for evidence taking place for a few days afterward. After which, interrogations may proceed.


This is your post for a little last-minute extra coordination before the big throwdown (remember: next day change is week-long!). Previous planning post is right here for reference! Will you be treating patients, whupping some tail, making arrests, disarming traps or hurrying a captive to safety?

What kind of weaponry do the civilians have?

Kanji is partnering with Aranea for this one, I believe! With her Weapon Ability he's going to be doing some... multitasking... but primarily he wants to find and get the captives out of there.

Lezard is available for use should people want to set a few kidnappers on fire/ice/lightning/earth or whatnot, because gosh when did he ever learn restraint?

Azusa will be overseeing the operation and keeping the mirrors secure. She'll dropkick a fool if they try anything funny. ...No really. She doesn't much hold back, either.

If Lily heard about Lezard setting kidnappers on fire, she would not be pleased and think he's out of his mind again. >_> Although she wants to help because of Kanji and he would be the logical person to ask.

Rise will be doing whatever it is she can do. Partly keeping an eye on Kanji and making sure he doesn't go too far and kill anyone but since that would mean being too close to the fighting, she'd probably want to be part of the group that slipped in to rescue the captives while everyone else is fighting.

Skill-wise, she's small enough and agile enough that she's better for stealth than outright charging and she has some strength in her legs because idol = dancer. Which is why I'm inclined to put her in the part that doesn't involve as much fighting. In terms of Weapon skills she's still learning but she'll do what she can if it comes to it/if a Meister needs someone to resonate with.

ETA update: she will be partnering with Dave for this - between her Weapon ability and his Meister ability, they're quite a good team for subdual.

Neji will be going in with the initial force. With his experience as a shinobi, he'll work to detect traps and disable any civilians by exploiting their pressure points. He'll also provide updates on enemy positions with Clairvoyance as they move through the tunnels. He'll be going along with Lee, but he's still open to working with or coordinating with peoples :>

Raidou's first priority is to rescue the captives, though he's not averse to kicking ass when necessary. He'll likely be with Alucard as usual, but I'm open for plotting with others!

Clair Leonelli will likely be going depending on if he teams up with anybody. He is a Meister with Soul Precognition, so it could come in handy.

CR-S01 is a medic. He would be treating patients and possibly going in to assist if he has a partner to go with. He is also a Meister.

Lily would want to help because her employee's friend got kidnapped and she's a meddlesome boss. Although I'm not sure where it would be best to put her. She's not a physical fighter and she'd most likely ask Lezard for help but wouldn't want to set people on fire either.

Oh, and her Meister ability lets her sense things from clothes so if she manages to get her hands on some of the kidnappers' robes or masks, she'll try reading them.

Eve and Keroro could support them if need be. (Since they all worked together so fantastically the last time...)

Meenah will be heading in to make sure nothing stupid happens to Aranea (because that's how she rolls) and also going to smack some poor suckers around because like hell she needs an excuse to fight. She's not going to kill anyone, but the people she finishes with are likely to need some serious medical attention.

Fabiola will likely be helping with minor first aid for anyone who gets injured and will be providing backup by firing smoke grenades into the midst of the archers and any groups of enemy fighters that are too large/too closely clustered in order to drive them apart.

And Ramza will be Meenah's clobbering weapon of choice, and will be assist in these endeavors by sending out healing wavelengths across his group and making sure Meenah mostly sticks to using the blunt end.

With Naoto doing the kidnapped thing (mediiiic) and Amaterasu keeping things cool above, I still have two characters!

Rosalia is a medic and will most likely be waiting for patients to be brought in or acting as a paramedic. She won't fight against the kidnappers unfortunately because her Weapon ability gives her enemies Hemorrhagic Fever and I don't think we have any Meisters on hand capable of healing them(?). Shibusen could, but no, she refuses.

Valentine is new and doesn't know any of the victims, but this is definitely a road block for her IE it's annoying and not getting her closer to home. She's a Meister with Soulmyeyesareuphere, capable of distracting people... though, she could probably do without activating her ability. Ninja nurse so she would prefer a small weapon or anything similar to her medical tools from home. She could act as a paramedic, but that's a maybe.

Rock Lee will be accompanying the rescue teams for additional support. As Neji's partner, he will be able to expand Clairvoyance and, being fast and agile, hopefully manage to distract and disable quite a few of the resistance.

Obito will be hanging around Death City, just offering whatever support he can to the people left behind. He might be running between the Clinic and Shibusen with information and supplies as necessary.

Aqua would like to help with the rescue since she does know one of the people who was kidnapped. She's a Weapon and she turns into a Keyblade. (So if anyone wants their character to be a Keyblade wielder for a day, now is your chance.)

Eve will most likely be with Keroro and making arrests, because that's what they do. Due to Keroro's ability it's not hard for them to adapt to whoever they're working with. So if you're a pair that's defence only they can be support.

Giroro will help disarm traps (he's got experience with this sort of stuff). He'd be willing to work with any Meister who's in his group. His Weapon form is the Nu Gundam Custom Beam Rifle and his ability allows his Meister to lock on to enemies (though he doesn't know this yet, lol).

And Hyoubu is not going. He'll just be chilling at home.

Yami Bakura and Hades will both sit this event out because they don't care about what happens to some random people unless somebody needs a Meister (YB, Soul Tracking) or Weapon (H, a Meteor Hammer that forces its wielder to face his/her inner madness and fears) really bad and is willing to drag them along. |D

Holiday is going to be a medic in the safe zone. Her Weapon form allows her to heal others on contact if they're hurt, but she has to resonate well with them and she tires out quickly to do this, so they'll have to be pretty hurt for her to try. She's not going on the front unless her Meister tags along... I will ping the mun and ask, actually.

Auron will be helping out his two not!kids get their girlfriends back but he'll be on the in general rescue attempt.

Alucard will be partnering with Raidou to rescue their friends!

Zero will be paired with Chika for the same.

All will be available for any other kinds of team up and in general ass kicking.

Mello is going in after his bestie, and Near's not letting him do it alone. He'll probably try to insist on being put on the go-in-and-grab-the-captives team.

So Death the Kid will definitely be joining this operation to slam down some hardcore order. And I mean literal slam down.

Saya will be going, if not only to kick ass because of the riots in Death City. She wishes to show these people Guests won't allow to be stepped on any further.

Sollux is going because, oops, his Weapon's one of the captives. He's honestly not going to be the best of help on his own, being a walking bundle of sticks with glasses, but he'll try. At worst, his horns make for good impromptu self defense...

Sendo Will be kicking ass along with Saya. He'll feel bad for beating up normal civilians, but you know, self defense and all.

Bumblebee will just be getting back, so he'll be trying to link up with his partner and not hurting humans. He can tean up brifely with or save someone if needed.

Takuto will be rescuing Yako. He'll be wielding Nanami (we agreed on that, right?) and maybe Yuugi for a little bit before getting ditched for Atem (RUDE). The rest of his party includes Kaworu and I think Bakura (Ryou) and Shinji? And Sugata is going to get dragged along, too, whether he likes it or not.

And no, I'm not at all sure as to how this is going to actually work, other than I think Takuto and Nanami are going to fall down a trap door.

Rose is going to be charging in knives blazing because fuck you guys that's one of her best friends in there. She's not going to be killing anyone because she knows that pulling information out of them is important, but she will be looking to permanently mangle them all in some way because she's a spiteful bitch when she's mad.

Sheena will be in on the rescue attempt. She wants to help with the infiltration, but she can work perimeter and be on the lookout instead.

Kiriha will want to help wherever possible. She can fight on her own, but she'll probably go to Amaterasu first to partner with, and if not her, then any other meister.

Amaterasu can't be in attendance for this one as much as she would like to. She has to keep things civil on the surface.
