Now that lols have been had, I'm posting (now for serious!) the roster and/or premise for the Witches' ninja death squad (placeholder name of APOC will be used).

Membership

We're still recruiting, but the lineup at this stage appears to be:

Vergil Sparda	Kishin/Meister	Troubleshooter and striker, close to mid-range, extremely fast
Nataku	Kishin/Weapon	Effective suppressor, mid to long range, shadow ribbons
Giovanni Rammsteiner	Prototype/Weapon	Point, close to mid-range, extremely high resilience
Dawn	Mod-Witch/Meister	Defensive and suppression, mid to long range, water and ice magic
Uchiha Sasuke	Mod-Witch/Weapon	Primary striker, close to mid-range, HOLY CHIDORI BATMAN

(Descriptions based on what I can tell from sign-ups and other conversations, comment if you want to clear up roles.)

APOC also works in association with:

Doctor Jonathan Crane, the primary leader that they report to and run 'errands' for. They provide a steady stream of victims-turned-test subjects with the understanding any and all souls belong to them afterwards. In turn he's responsible for keeping the more insane members of APOC (read: Vergil) well-supplied with drugs to prevent them from being a liability to their own people. It is symbiotic relationship in which Crane gets bodies and the hunters remain efficient in acquiring the delicious souls of Weapons and their Technicians.

Adah Price, who keeps a consistent tab on the operations of APOC and happens to be their most reliable source for information. Without her it would be that much harder to locate targets, to say nothing of the fact that it is the primary goal of the team to locate any holdouts for Shibusen or Commune survivors. It is more or less understood that if Adah needs something, members of APOC will provide, no questions asked.

Witch Leadership, though at this stage I haven't any details as far as a potential relationship, but it can be more or less understood that APOC will comply with orders from above, especially given they aim to more or less form the military elite.

Premise
(Note: A lot of this is mere background, I wish we could explore more of this in-game.)

The primary focus behind APOC is to develop the most efficient way to acquire souls and eliminate Shibusen along with its allies. Most of its membership are better known to be lone wolves, however as a cohesive team they can perform both roles to far greater effect. It is most productive to seek the more powerful souls of Shibusen's soldiers, and thus they are dedicated towards specialized tactics for eliminating Weapons and Meisters. They are, in essence, highly trained hunters. They operate best as:

Four Man Teams, which are intended as a foil for Shibusen's own equal-sized teams. The most substantial advantage behind this formation is that it provides a numerical advantage: each member of APOC fights as a synchronised yet mobile individual, whereas Technicians are restricted to physical pairs. When a Meister dies, its Weapon immediately follows, and thus ambushes and concerted attacks from multiple assailants on a single target lead to a drastic alteration of odds in the favour of APOC. This also permits greater versatility and complex tactics, which in tandem are generally capable of subduing even a more powerful target.

Two Man Teams serve in a similar function, utilized for bringing down a solitary Weapon and Meister. Pairings are usually chosen for greatest tactical advantage, generally including both a striker and support. This is the formation most used when acquiring prisoners; the Meister will be disabled and separated from their Weapon ASAP. Weapons are a much greater asset to Shibusen and thus they are destroyed immediately with their soul devoured, whereas the much-weakened Meister can be delivered to Crane.

Name

APOC is mostly a placeholder and I'm open to suggestions for a name for the New Injustice Team. I have, like, seven ideas and they're all "maybe"s. I'm torn between a mythological theme (given we have Cerberus, Dragon and Demon aspects to the team) or something simpler that essentially says "we are relentless, unholy attack dogs from hell". Or we can keep APOC, which is a basic shout out to the Apocalypse, fitting given I envision the Four Horsemen when thinking of their four-man teams.

Already talked to you in IM, but saying still, Nataku occasionally is going to need to be reared in from trying to kill Adah. Her blaming him for Watson's death is annoying and the rudimentary emotions that he has not completely detached from wants her to die to stop making him feel bad about it. He told Watson and Holmes to leave him alone, but they didn't, so it was their own suicidal actions that led to the death and crippling of the two respectively. So there.

So ... might not take orders too well from her but need to be given orders that are from her and filtered/retrieved from one of the other members.

TOTALLY NOT RELATED AT ALL but I am laughing so hard at how Vergil has Sasuke with him and Date has Naruto (kinda). WHAT IS THIS STRANGE PARALLEL.

Looks like APOC WILL BE COMING FOR YO' ASSES. Revenge should probably be added to the list of duties.

okay, seriously though -- sounds good! as far as any relations with... pretty much anyone (not limited to the APOC) go, he'll probably treat you like people treat Starbucks employees. except maybe nicer, because he's not that huge a douche. can you tell I just got off work? haaaaaah....

I'd be delighted to play any of these likely-horrible interactions. if you'd like him to maybe try and slip something in your drink or in your face (the lines have sort of blurred between coworkers you can't experiment on and fair game) then we may talk! he will likely be very evasive if confronted about it. what poison? oh, was that me? terribly sorry, my mistake. you may take it up with one of the other leaders if you wish...

similarly, if you are going to be a victim of this team then it's entirely possible that you'll be handed off to me. if this isn't something you'd like your character to experience or if you just don't want to run the risk of having to backlog with me due to my schedule, then that can obviously be avoided. but if you do enjoy being awful to your muses, then boy, do I have things in store for them...

This post is my favourite post.

Giovanni'll be all up with you guys often, but he may be absent on the days when Jelly sends him off on solo business or he has a request for "independent action" granted, so he's a little more occasional. He's still very much on her dogs, but maybe that's part of why he's there anyway - being a bit of an observer.

Also he and Allen tend to berserk-button each other, so if they encounter each other on the field when he's with APOC, they'll come together like magnets. o/

All of the above is fine with me. APOC isn't exactly strict when it comes to operation; it's more like a group that comes together when they want to get shit done. All of them have their own agendas and people who piss them off (Vergil has Date, Sasuke has Naruto, etc) so it's more or less understood that if someone says "I'm breaking rank, that dude over there is MINE", that it's more than okay. Warrior's respect and all that.

That's definitely his kind of party. Sounds good, captain!

There are way too many Shibusen and CWC people as opposed to Team Evil as it is (and I thought they were supposed to be winning. Quality > quantity?), so we need to thin out their numbers a bit. >_>

With permission of course! Though, Vergil's too smug to let a real challenge be taken from him, and most of APOC would feel the same way. So no crazy 4-on-1's. Lots of duels and epic showdowns! At least for now. This arc does have to last a few months, afterall.
