Changes To Application Guidelines - Please Read.
Hi everyone, this is a very important update to the Soul Campaign application standards - if anyone has any questions or concerns feel free to comment with them on this post!
1. As of today we will only be accepting humanoid characters on a regular basis. The eligibility of non-humanoid characters will be discussed with mods and accepted on a CASE-BY-CASE basis. We will look at each character presented to us individually, i.e Ax may be acceptable as a creature with four legs but Spirit ( the horse) could not be.
2. On another note, we are also increasing our standard on the level of background required in order to apply. Soul Campaign does not require a written history, but we do expect characters to have a moderate to strong canon background in order to be applied for and played acceptably. The mods of Soul Campaign reserve the right to deny any character we feel to be lacking in canon information or history.
We would like to remind players that characters must be able to function and ( potentially ) contribute on a regular scale within Shibusen and the Death City world in order to be summoned by BREW. We would also like to remind players that while Soul Campaign is openminded to every fandom and genre of media, characters must have a solid role and presence within their canon and communicate on a humanoid level.
Non-humanoid characters will be judged based on their ability to mesh and thrive within the environment of Death City, their level of communication with humanoid characters and your plans for said character within the game. Non-humanoid characters must be able to interact with other characters on a serious and plot-furthering scale. The mods will look at your character from a number of perspectives, and ultimately make their decision based on how they feel your character will contribute to the game and if they would logically be summoned by BREW to protect the city.
We would like to note that within the Soul Eater canon, upon which this game is based - that human and human-type characters are the majority. An animal or 'creature' weapon or meister is extremely rare and mostly unheard of.
We would also like to clarify that our definition of humanoid is as follows: A creature that at least 50% resembles a human in terms of mental and physical development. I.E most elves, cat-people, angels and demons as well as the Na'vi would be considered humanoid. A digimon that stands on two legs, or a vaguely human-shaped Pokemon would not meet that classification. Again, we will judge each case individually and will definitely take the time to discuss any character of any species you may be interested in applying for.
Once again, we would like to stress that WE ARE NOT SAYING YOU CANNOT APPLY FOR NON-HUMAN CHARACTERS OR EXTREMELY OBSCURE CHARACTERS. We will gladly look into any character that is presented to us, and take them into honest consideration - we simply have a set of standards they must meet in order for us to determine their eligibility within the Soul Campaign universe and accept them into the game.

OH I just realised I worded the app thing wrong. They do review app all the time (though I think they take a bit of a break at the beginning of the month) - the first week of each month is just when characters go IN.

Speaking of which: At trans Marco and Tobias are from riiight at the Bolian Army Ending, Ax is from book...46 or something, I think. Elfangor is from his death, and Loren's from before the Ellimist when and mucked about with Elfangor's timeline.
