EVENT: Too Much of a Good Thing...
First off: SORRY THIS POST COMES SO LATE. There were some details that needed to be ironed out before this post was made. So, many apologies for that!
Now, without further ado...
On August 22 in-game, BREW brings in a new batch of Guests, for some odd reason, rather late in the evening. It's different, but Shibusen just shrugs and rolls with it, contacting potential tour guides to come and greet the newbies.
However things don't go exactly as planned when one of the newcomers attacks and injures one of the tour guides (and does some property damage in the process). Within the hour, the local authorities, the Watch and the Agency will be contacted informing them of this event. The public will be told of a dangerous individual with four arms as well.
Of course (because when it rains it pours), the Guests will find that they don't have time to chase down this man. Unfortunately, some Witches have been thinking about other ways to deal with Meisters with Soul Perception and they've come up with an idea that one of them will be testing out in Death City around midnight.
It's a machine that amplifies Meister abilities.
While that may sound like something that would actually help, it amplifies them to the point where they become too strong to control.
That means powers will sometimes flare up or may even be working constantly in ways that characters aren't used to them doing. It also means that Meisters will feel drained more often. Beyond that, players are free to decide what that means, exactly, for their character's ability, but here are some examples:
Meisters with abilities that sacrifice resonance to use might find it extremely difficult to resonate as the ability is almost permanently in use or working with such intensity everytime it can burn through even the best resonance in a very short amount of time.
Abilities that grant the Meister extrasensory abilities will find it near impossible to focus with these abilites, probably because they see/hear/sense too many things or because they just can't control what they're sensing only that when they do sense it, they sense it with a freakish kind of clarity.
For abilities that affect the state of others, it might affect them too well. For example someone with Calming Wavelength may find that everyone around them is acting...well. Too calm. Maybe even listless and unworried about potentially being eaten by a Kishin Egg.
Because, of course, the Witches aren't just going to sit around doing nothing. Once the machine is activated, an attack will be launched on the city. There will be Kishin Eggs and also a witch in the fight.
For this event you can choose to fight a Witch. So if you want to do that, remember to fill out the appropriate section when signing up for the mission.
Rewards:
► 7 Meister points / souls (for Meisters and Weapons, respectively.)
► 950D$ per person
► Weapons may choose not to eat their souls, but they cannot be traded amongst each other.
► Sign ups for the missions go here. In order for your characters to receive the rewards, you must at least provide a summary of what happened. If you don't have a planned partner just put N/A.
Feel free to use this post to co-ordinate with each other!
Any questions or concerns you might have should be directed here.

He does start wrecking shit up on the evening of the 22nd! It will be something out of a horror movie basically - more blood and possible bodies all over the place. He will be leaving a trail of it in his wake. Feel free to have Near mention it in his post! There will be less of the building destruction (since now he's outside) but more of the bodily destruction of NPCs.
Diablo has no idea to technology. His canon is set in a world that relies on magic, scrolls, and tomes than any actual technology. The best they have are messengers and maybe bird carriers ;) So he won't even know what a camera is, and even if he did he wouldn't destroy it unless he was being sneaky - which he isn't right now xD

Hahaha roger that! Near will be able to
stalkfollow him on camera for a bit, then, probably. And now that I'm asking you about it directly, might as well ask other things on this subject: will he only kill NPCs on the street, or will he invade a building or two, as well? Just so I know what I'll have Near say on the network.

o7 He will mainly do it on the streets. Diablo might go into one or two buildings to chase after his prey, but otherwise it's whoever has the bad luck to run into him. Also there would be huge structural damage to those buildings since he is quite big :)

Okay, I think I have everything I need now. Thanks! I'll give you a poke again if I have any other questions.
