Phase 2 Coordination Post

General Overview:

Once Shibusen had confirmed that Witches were involved in the disappearances, Death City's first Guest Deathscythe pair were deployed to San Pedro de Atacama to investigate. There wasn't a trace of the Witches themselves to be found (they knew there would be a rescue attempt: there's always a rescue attempt). What they found there were former allies of Shibusen who seemed to be acting under the influence of a localized but incredibly concentrated amount of Madness Wavelength. Concentrated enough, in fact, that they were regaining abilities that had been sealed by BREW.

That presented a bit of a dilemma in that, with Erinyes still active within Death City, it would be a risk to send out a large amount of people to go subdue these people and bring them back. Fortunately, the Watch got a not-so-anonymous tip and managed to break up a meeting being held by the terrorist group, managing to arrest core members of Erinyes as well as taking the wind out of its sails.

So now, with that obstacle out of the way, Shibusen can go forward with what it intended to do with out hesitation. We're bringing our comrades back, even if we have to drag them back kicking and screaming!


For those who were attacked:

Your characters were basically left behind after the Witches were through with them. The chip generating Madness is left inside them (think of it like a parting gift), and it remained active during this entire time. What your character did while they were out of Death City and out of their minds is up to you.

Did they rampage around in the wild or did they attack a town?

Did they stay with their partner or did they split up and go their separate ways?

Please bear in mind that if you want your character to have consumed innocent souls that they will become a Kishin Egg and this cannot be reversed and they will have to be put down. As such cannot be done without first speaking with a mod. Besides that, the sky is the limit.

In addition to the abilities they regained through the chip, you characters also experience incredibly increased resonation amongst partners--if they can get together to resonate that is. All Weapon and Meister abilities will still be usable.

Which is to say, even if your character didn't have any canon powers to reclaim, you'll still be giving your rescuers a hard time.

That being said, please reply to this thread and state who will be rescuing your character once your plans have been set in stone. Reply to this thread as well if you wish for the mods to randomly select a rescuer for you (all random rescuers will be selected by the 17th so you have time to plot). Otherwise, feel free to make and reply to top level comments to find people to fight/rescue your characters!


For those who are signing up to rescue people:

Your characters will choose to go to one of three locations. The goal is to subdue and capture the ones who have been attacked by the Witches and had a Madness chip implanted on them. Your enemies will have a fraction of their canon abilities back in addition to experiencing increased resonation with their partners if they haven't been separated...and some of them will be familiar faces.

Both partnered and unpartnered characters are allowed to sign up. However, it's safest to stay in groups if your character is unpartnered. Shibusen will provide anyone who needs them with regular weapons before they head out.

Afterwards they will arrive via Shinigami's mirror and from their they will spread out and look for their comrades.


Rewards:
► 3 Meister points / souls (for Meisters and Weapons, respectively.) Though there are no kishin eggs to be found on this mission, Shibusen will pull from their stock of souls to redistribute!
► 750D$ per person
► Weapons may choose not to eat their souls, but they cannot be traded amongst each other.
► In order for your characters to receive the rewards, you must at least provide a summary of what happened on the Mission Board. A direct link to the thread you should reply to on the Board will be provided in the comments below. It will also include lists of the characters who went missing in which city.

Can affected characters visit town and find some sort of weapon? Because Saya will go mad and everyone will be a zombie in her eyes, so she will try to find a gun to shoot people in the head (oops).

Rosalia would want to go after Hades and Sai mostly to see if she could get them back to normal. Otherwise, Dr. Holiday and Six.

These chips the witches put into Akiha and Sion have done some nasty things to them when they brought their powers back. This is because Akiha is really a blood-sucking half-demon that fights her demon side and Sion is a vampire that's suppressing her vampirism. And these chips have made it impossible for them to do so. Thus, their sadistic, evil sides have taken control of them and this is accompanied by some physical changes.

Akiha and Sion are going to be found together in a small town in San Pedro de Atacama. They will have drained the blood from and killed everyone in the town. Note, they will not have consumed any souls because it's the blood they want, but it's not a pretty sight at all.

Caleb and I would prefer characters who know them to come rescue them, but we want to forewarn you the atrocities they will have committed when they were let loose by the witches.

Neji and Lee will be going. They're not terribly attached to anyone to go after them specifically, but they both specialize in hand to hand and Neji's got Soul Menace and applies pressure point attacks to disable people, so they're well-suited to subduing people ;)

Lily and Lezard will be going. While Lily has talked to about half of the captives once or twice before, she isn't close to any of them so we don't have much of a preference where they'll go.

These two will be together in their crazeh! Which means a powerful telekinetic who thinks he's a spaceship resonating with a really strong, fast chick who can steal life. They'll probably be lashing out hard at any would-be rescuers. Good times!

Maybe-interested in being the lashees are, if I have everyone: Signless, Karkat, Ramza, and Dolorosa.

Kanaya's going to want to head to save Josuke (and Minako) in San Pedro de Atacama (Chile), but she's a Meister on her own. She's particularly adept on her own, so if she was unpartnered as part of a bigger group, that could work, OR if a Weapon would like to go along with her, that would be awesome!

For the record, her Meister ability (that she hasn't discovered) is Soul Bite. She saps the energy of enemies she touches, so she might find out and it'd help a lot to subdue the Madness-afflicted individuals!

So: Thoughts, volunteers, biscuits?

And I know they don't have CR yet, sadly, and neither he is attached to anyone who got kidnapped. But Matt is interested in this because of the Witches and he is also going possibly un-unpartnered as part of a group.


So, yeah, I do have Matt to offer as a Weapon if Kanaya would like. He is a Portal gun, so I'm not sure how comfortable she would be with that.

Kaworu's not especially involved with any of the victims (save for Sai maybe, but only in a negative way) but he's generally a nice, helpful guy so he's going anyway.

So on that note, if any Weapons need a temporary partner he's available! And generally good at resonating with others, and trained with all sorts of weaponry. Alternatively, his Meister ability is Soul Siege, meaning he can create an impenetrable shield with his soul, so if any of the rescuees are a bit too dangerous while all Madness-crazed, he can handle it.

Aaaand I'm not sure how Ozzy and Nataku want to handle it, but I might be able to offer an exhausted Death God (who might or might not have taken to devouring some souls he really shouldn't have) for a final beatdown as well if anybody's interested in that!

I can offer Yami Bakura as a backup Meister for anybody who'd be interested in working with a jerk who likes daredevil tactics and loves driving his opponents up a wall till they're that mad they end up making mistakes. His Meister ability is Soul Tracking which means that he can sense the location of the souls of people he's met.

Aqua will be going to Bolivia with Shirogane. She has some friends there she needs to rescue. I'm open to have her running into anyone else who might be there.

Eve is going with Keroro to Argentina to find their employee because that's what good bosses do. =w=b Again, we'd be happy to fight or run into anyone.

Giroro it seems will be tagging along with Steve.

Hyoubu wants to go to Chile. Does anyone want to work with this jerk? He's a Meister with the ability Soul Ritual which allows him to stop his enemies movement for a maximum of 1 minute by looking them in the eye. He's unlikely to use this in company unless he absolutely has to though.

I think Steve is going to go with Giroro to Argentina in order to rescue Bruce and Tony! Just need to work out a few details still.

Saya will be freaking out! While she has no powers, all she will be able to see is zombies. Zombies everywhere. Including Sendo, which she pretty much looked at and went "NOPE. ZOMBIE" and probably tried to attack him before vanishing.

So Saya will do that to everyone who approaches. You are all zombies, you are all targets and she WILL try to bash your head in, or worse, try to shoot you in the head. Saya will have a gun and she will use it.

Eve and Keroro will be the ones rescuing her.


Condesce is going with Winters to Argentina. They have no actual interest on saving anyone, and Condesce kind of wanted to go because she hoped she would see a Witch, but in the end she will end up rescuing whoever (aka, drag them back) anyway or kill them i'm kidding but she will rough them up


Matt will go with Kanaya as her weapon. His interest is to see the Witches powers in action, even if it'll end up not being exactly what he expected. He also wants to test his Madness counter there too.

Anyone that's familiar with season 0/early manga Yami should understand what Atem will be like pretty well. In short he's insane :| and not above killing people. He will also be able to summon the duel monster fat chicken Horus the Black Flame Dragon aaaaand there are plans for him to get the millennium puzzle and use those powers against people too :T Other than running into Yuugi nothing has been set in stone in regards to a rescue though.

Well, Amaterasu and Ghoulia are headed to Argentina so they can help rescue/rescue Atem and Eren if you're up for it. Ammy's ability is Calming Wavelength too.

If any spare weapon needs a meister, Snake is available. He has Soul Invisibility and has been taking out super powered people for quite a while so he's got the experience anyone wants.

Sendo will be getting into a little scuff with Saya when this all starts up. After that, he'll be rampaging through a town attacking anyone that he sees. Sendo doesn't have powers, but in addition to the boost in power that the Madness gives him, he also has Soul Adrenaline which makes him stronger the longer he fights. So he'll be a tough little cookie.

He doesn't have a rescuer or any other plans so far, so I'm open to that.

I don't have a rescuer lined up for this loser yet, but if anyone wants to save a stronger-than-normal, shape-changing, sadistic serial killer (why would you though...), have at him?

He's been mainly going around killing birds and trying to find the witch that put him through this, but will attack anyone that tries to get in his way.

Aranea is also ideally coming so that she can help save Meenah. She's a weapon without a meister.

I've been really busy with school and real life stuff, so I'm not sure if that's okay or if I should go find partners for this. Please let me know!
