...Intrigue, and some missing faces.
Good evening, Soul Campaign! The names have been randomized from a very large pool (holy wow, you guys), so let's get this plot started! We apologize in advance: This post is slightly larger than usual.
On May 10th (which will take place on March 8th, one week from the time of this post, and will be a regular day change instead of a week-long one), the following Guests will be cornered, chloroformed, and hauled away in a sack:
Mail "Matt" Jeevas
John Egbert
C.A. Cupid
Naoto Shirogane
Yako Katsuragi
The victims can absolutely fight tooth and nail to get away, but ultimately the kidnappers will be successful. They've been planning something like this for a long time, and aim to be frighteningly efficient.
Victims will wake up together in a weird underground chamber (they left you three lanterns for light in there, aren't they kind?) with their communicators confiscated, alongside anything that could be considered a weapon. Twice a day they'll lower a basket of food and water for you, and will be kind enough to escort you somewhere where you can, er, do your business. This is when those kidnapped will get their first glimpse of the kidnappers, figures dressed in dark, baggy clothing, hoods, and venetian masks. An open log will be made for those kidnapped to freely interact with one another during their imprisonment. What better time to get to know a new face, or speak with someone you always passed on the street before...
But fear not! A rescue team will be assembled and head out on the morning of May 13th (a week-long day change taking place on March 19th to allow ample time for tagging) to go in, kick some masked butt and get their friends back! A log will be made for the rescue as well.
Shibusen will issue the victims brand new communicators upon their return, but some brand new faces may start popping up over the DEMISE Network...
A Timeline, In Short:
-May 10th in-game (March 8th, regular day change) - Kidnapping
-Prisoner Interaction Log going up on May 11th, covers the duration of imprisonment
-May 13th in-game (March 19th, week-long day change) - Rescue Log
As for the rest of you, the City's getting crazier by the day! Looks like diplomats (and maybe a little Calming Wavelength) are needed to try and calm the rioting masses and talk them down, while volunteer groups have to shake a leg harder than ever! As for the gumshoes... there are plenty of sources of information to tap and clues abound. Can you solve the mystery?
If you have any questions, leave a comment! Otherwise, feel free to use this post for event coordination!

Re: Questions
Also for the rescuing will the team be assembled by Shibusen? Or should characters be organizing themselves? And will there be a Shibusen post addressing all of this?
SORRY I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS Seifer is a renegade and I don't want to mess anything up w;A;w.
Finally for the rescue log will it be fighting the cloak guys or just locating and dragging everyone out of the hole they were put in?Wow I can read, but I guess what I specifically mean is this going to be like some sort of dungeon of masked player played NPCs (like we've been doing with the hostile citizens) and PCs just have to battle through to get to the kidnapped characters? Or is there more we should be aware of/there should be no wanton slaughter/things I am not sure SORRY.no subject
There will be a Shibusen post addressing the abduction as missing persons reports are filed in, and will in turn assemble a team to go in and get them out once their destination has been confirmed.
The rescue operation will prioritize the rescue of the missing persons and bringing them back in one piece. In the face of all the in-city violence, it will be strongly urged that there should be no wanton slaughter (though, tell that to the angry friends/partners of those kidnapped!), but the rescuers' destination will indeed be full of masked individuals working to incapacitate and capture anyone they find. Shibusen and the local police will want arrests, people to question in trying to rout out this strange new group.

And yes, characters can absolutely take the masks!

and is seriously hoping witches are involved in all this idk he's crazy, but I just want to know if there's anything he should be sharing with the other guests since he's a fair guy. ...Kind of.And finally is the Shibusen building going to need people to protect it from the rioters or are they mostly just going to make hell in the city itself?
Thanks for putting up with all my questions w;A;w

There are folks picketing around Shibusen with signs, chants, and demanding answers as to why things are going as they are. Agents (and one very fluffy Guest) will be posted around the grounds to calm them down and try to talk them down.
Were Seifer to head around in the riots, he would generally have people happy to fight him back, but if he strikes gold, he would be told of 'mask-wearing ghouls with terrifying voices' calling themselves The Erinyes.

Uhm one more question though this one isn't about the plot exactly. But is there a mayor in Death City or something? Or I'm not sure someone leading the picket line? Seifer wants to resolve the problem between citizens and guests so he'd want to talk to people who are in charge around the city about getting some open dialogue between guests and the city and maybe making some compromises all around to bring the hostility down. He wouldn't be able to do much before the riot started, but I'm just wondering who he'd have been able to meet with to at least start floating the idea around town.

But there are focus groups that were recently-founded with the intent to continue picketing, like 'Death City Support Groups' of sorts. Talking to their leaders could lead to possible dissolving of the riot efforts.

Re: Questions
On top of that, should those imprisoned start getting a little feisty, chloroform isn't the only implement they have on hand. Tampering with the food and water they've given - specifically, a form of sedative - will quickly become a requirement should that be the case.

Re: Questions
And as with any group, there are indeed leaders to shit outfit. Were she to get her hands on any of -their- masks and robes, they'd more likely get feelings of rage, a lust for power, and a very strong fear.

Also, for the riots and things, is there a way for the Watch to get involved? They've been working to safe guard the city's districts with an emphasis on residential. Perhaps they could assist in keeping the riots under semi-control and keep them from running rampant or something.
Just some ideas!

As for the riots, the Watch would be needed now more than ever to keep things under control. If they need numbers, agents in Shibusen would be happy to aid in holding the line.
no subject
As for the Watch, they'll be happy to help, of course. With a good portion of their roster filled with overtime positions, they probably will need at least a few Shibusen agents. I assume they would be coordinating with the police force to contain and subdue individuals? There's probably too many to make actual arrests, hm
