Character Plot

Hey! I know I've mentioned this to a handful of people but I don't have everyone's contact info ~~and I'm as shy as she is~~ so I thought I should post this here before the flood and see who might be interested.

This is regarding Ran Fan, of course, because the earliest we'd be getting Ling now is December and it's coming up on three months IG since he left. She's early in canon if you forgot (two arms, y'know) so she's been doing her best not to completely break down but now that I know Ling isn't possibly on the way any time soon...yeah, I don't think she can hold out.

I've got everything written up in her journal here with a nice TL;DR summary at the bottom. As you can see I'm looking for volunteers to help me out with this. Old CR, new CR, whatever.

I know three people have already offered but I think I need at least a couple more. I might start keeping track of all the characters that are going to do this on the post shortly. So yeah, you can let me know here, at Pippin Took424 on AIM or on Plurk and I can get everything finalized.

And if I need more details in the initial plot let me know, I've never done this before sob.

Also I know I won't get to everyone so if any of the new people see this HELLO! I'm Kaito, I play Ran Fan, Lloyd, and Amiti, welcome/have fun. And if you wanna jump in on this go ahead!

I AM NOT CERTAIN HOW I CAN PUT THEM IN, but I can offer my muses if needed? I think Phoenix and/or Junpei can be especially helpful, if we manage it. |D;

YAAAAY, ALL RIGHT! Yeah, umm, she can run into them in the next couple IG days or something or... not quite sure how the first phase will end up going down if either of them meet her then.

...And I just remembered she saved Phoenix from the factory so she semi-knows him XD

RIGHT I KNEW I COULD DO SOMETHING WITH PHOENIX. We can work from that, then! He hangs out with Mushu from time to time so I suppose he should remember you well too, one way or another. XD

Ha ha, yes. She's talked to Mushu a few times since then, too, so... yes. Just need to figure out when/how it would be best for them to actually talk. I'm not completely sure what his days are like or anything.

Oh well Phoenix is just... hoboing in the clinic, occasionally dropping by the Agency ~~to annoy Edgeworth~~, wandering around from time to time, trolling the network when applicable. He doesn't have a lot on his plate. XD

XDD Yeah, Ran Fan pretty much just trains and works for the Watch with occasional food runs in there. If she ends up going to the clinic he could meet her there, but if you'd like them to meet sooner it sounds like it would be easy to figure something out.

Should be easy enough, yes. \o/ We can plot out something!

Roy's definitely going to notice that she's missing. Once that's done, expect him to hover. And hover. And hover. And talk. And give you things to keep you busy. And scold.

Can you tell? He's so used to doing this.

I offer Spirit or Watson, and depending on what other things you need, Germany and the others as well. Need cuddles and nice papa? Spirit! And Spirit can tell Ran Fan that having a partner isn't everything, etc etc. Watson is the stern but kind doctor who might nag at her to value herself more. Germany is awkward but will try and will try to help her figure out what she should do, since he's also pretty lost on that himself apart from a few solid things. Kuroro... Kururo wouldn't be nice about it, but he offers unique advice. Mifune. Is Mifune.

Ahhh, thanks! Spirit and Watson definitely sound like they'd be big helps ^o^ (though the thought of cuddles is making her go >8| but I keep saying she needs a hug SO.). Germany could be interesting too, since I think the last time they officially spoke was that fight over the comm when she first showed up XDD She always has such interesting introductions to your characters, I swear...

But yaaay, will bear all this in mind as I figure this out~ ^^

Ah, I have Noa for CR building and such. He doesn't know much about her work life -- yet? -- so he might not notice things are odd on that end. But he's definitely around for emotional support and such. He can relate to losing a cause like she did.

All right! I was hoping so after their conversation in her log XD. But yes, the emotional support is really the biggest part so definitely!

I'm not sure if you would be interested at all, but I could offer up Sarah Kerrigan (Starcraft) for Ran Fan. They are actually in a bit of a similar situation, except Sarah is used to being alone. They are also a bit more opposite in personality, what with Ran Fan being a little less emotional and Sarah just bitching people out.

They don't actually have any CR, but there is the potential that Sarah would see something in Ran Fan that she sees within herself. I'm not sure if that would be enough for Kerrigan to approach, but... well, Sarah doesn't exactly have friends either. She has a very gruff way of showing that she cares, but if they actually hit it off, I can see it being worthwhile for them both.

I'm not sure if you would be interested or if it would even work. I just thought that I would throw it out there and tl;rd you. XD

Ooo, yeah, that does have potential =O. Figuring out how to get them talking does sound like a bit of an issue but depending on when in this whole plot you wanted to do it we could probably work something out. Cause until she's had major development it would take something that sparked Ran Fan's interest to approach her, lol.

But yeah, I don't know Sarah that well but it does sound interesting if we can work it out!

Well, there are several ways to get them to meet. Both are on the Watch, and Sarah spends most of her time stalking other members of the Watch or practicing repelling up and down buildings. They could meet as a Watch function, or catch one another on the rooftops. Oh and Sarah has minor telepathic abilities to sense emotions, so she might be able to tell Ran Fan is silently have a rough time?

Sarah's canon is kind of obscure, but she seriously needs a friend who understands without words. I get the feeling, from what I know of FMA canon, that Ran Fan would have an understanding.

Oh, yeah, Ran Fan's usually at training and...I'm not sure if their shifts align in any way. But yes, that would work! And she totally has an understanding given how much she doesn't say things herself XD

Hmm, so perhaps start with a chance meeting and see where it goes from there?

Yeah, that usually works well for her! Training or some place with food would be normal places to find her XD
