soul_ooc | Tiny Excalibur Mini-event?!

Hello, Soul Campaign! Valentine's is coming up and Excalibur, generous as always, is leaving everyone a special "gift". As soon as you wake up, you'll find a small box of chocolates at your front door step, one per resident! However, each chocolate will be laced to have an effect!

CHOCOLATE ONE (shaped like a pencil):
Will have a physical effect! You can choose one of the three, but you can only choose ONE:
♥ HAND-HOLDING. As soon as you grab someone elses hand, you'll be stuck to them. Permanently (or until it wears off).
♥ HUGS. You'll want to hug every person you meet at least once.
♥ THE GIFT OF GIVING. You will want to give and give to the people around you! What kind of gifts? Who knows! Up to your character. They could be something expensive or they could be jars of mayo. Could be a punch to the face. Whatever they feel is appropriate.

CHOCOLATE TWO (shaped like a kangaroo):
Will have an emotional effect! You can choose one of the three, but you can only choose ONE:
♥ LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. Develop a crush on the first person you see.
♥ LOVE 1000%. That object you kind of like? Do you like tea? Maybe that stuffed animal? Yeah, that's now your most favorite thing in the world. Can't part with it, can't stop drinking it, can't stop talking about it. You can choose the object!
♥ LOVE SONG. Basically it! You'll be singing love ballads at random intervals of the day! Break out into song with love in your heart!

CHOCOLATE THREE (shaped like a horseshoe):
Will have a forced truth effect! You can choose one of the following three, but you can only choose ONE:
♥ Level one! Simple enough! You cannot lie whenever you speak, but at least you can keep quiet about it.
♥ Level two! You cannot lie whenever you speak, but you can keep quiet about it. HOWEVER, when you try to, you'll end up speaking your lie like a true poet. Rhymes, flowery words, that sort.
♥ Level three! You absolutely cannot lie. If someone asks you a question, you'll find yourself blurting out your thoughts without restraint.

CHOCOLATE FOUR (shaped like Excalibur):
♥ Will taste like fish. :|b

Everything is opt-in, opt-out so if you don't want to participate, that's totally a-ok! If your character's the type to eat the chocolate icly, but you don't want the effects oocly, you can assume that each piece tastes like fish. You can totally mix up the effects too so if you wanna mix up level one truth and love at first sight, you can!

It can last up to two in-game days max (the 14th and 15th) but it can wear off whenever you want. Just have a bit of fun!

His first date too?! Oh awesome. They can both have their first date, then. And neither of them will have a clue what to do so cue all the awkward.

Uhhhh let me see. Megumi has never been the focus of a guy's attention in a positive way, nor has she danced with a man. Ever. She would be extremely shy about this.... especially the touching hands and his hand on her waist or back would make her rather nervous, she may request that he kind of... hover his hand there. She's got some issues with men touching her because of past abuse, Edgey seems like a nice sort of guy, would he accommodate such a thing without pushing her for details? I'd REALLY like her to have some fun without having to get angsty in her own fears.

Honestly though, despite her tsun, I think deep down she'd rather be charmed if he offered and insisted that he wanted to dance with her? I'd suggest a more classy traditional sort of thing like very slow and gentle ballroom dancing? A waltz maybe?

ALSO you know how on holidays there are musicians at restaurants? How about musicians strolling around and getting annoying while they try to eat :3c Maybe asking them how many years they've been married, or, playing right in their faces while they're trying to eat, or singing something depressing or raunchy that destroys the mood? lol? They could be trying to eat spaghetti and get to know each other and there's a guy singing "LET'S GET IT ON~" right behind Edgeworth?

Edgeworth isn't the type for physical contact either, that's fine. XD HAHAHA. Usually it takes a lot to make him dance with a woman. Some conversation, and then it's often the woman pressing him to dance with her until he gives in. A WALTZ WOULD BE NICE AWWWWW he teaches Ahiru ballroom dance too orz

OMG YES. Musicians. And then suddenly THONG SONG I mean -

You know what might be kind of nice? If they're both unsure about touching, they can figure out how to dance with hands just barely brushing. :)

Forgive me since I'm canon blind: How observant is he? How sensitive to noticing what people are doing/feeling? Does he have any major hot buttons to avoid pushing in order for this to be a fun time? What kind of stuff does he look for in a friend?

Her hot buttons to avoid at all costs: 1) old boyfriends/loves, 2) missing home, and 3) grabbing her hand/arm.

Nah, when it's a waltz or something, Edgeworth is fine with contact as long as they're not TOO close.

OKAY um actually, Edgeworth can be pretty frank and tactless especially when he's into serious business mode. He can't tell when a lady is into him even if she walked up to him and said so, and he's not sure how to comfort or reassure people especially when he doesn't know them well. Basically, he's not exactly the best at reading people, but he tries and is likely to just use cold logic.

His hot buttons are how his father died (the topic of his father in general is not so hot these days anyway), his fears, and basically as long as she doesn't annoy him like a hyper fangirl or anything, she's good.

Well...he doesn't actively look for friends per se, but people he calls friends are usually those with whom he has a good working relationship, those who can engage in intellectual conversations and debates with him and who know when to leave him alone. Those who understand how he ticks, I guess.
