Potential Hiatus

So. I am getting my sorry self dragged out to what will soon be my new place of residence this weekend because Mom has some weird country thing (anyone have any idea what a 'truck pull' is?) that she's helping run concessions for. I have been told that I will have access to internet, however I don't know where, and if I can only get it by standing outside under a certain tree, well, there won't be much Fae on the internet from about six CST tonight until sometime on Sunday.

So this is a possible-hopefully-not-certain hiatus notice, affecting Toph here, Rikku, and Reno. I will make endeavors to get some place to answer tags every so often, but like I said. If it's outside, it won't be happening all that frequently.

I live in Texas, it's cool XD What are they? Like, Mom tried to explain it, but all I got out of it was "some weird, possibly brain damaging country past time that my mom makes good money making food for".

Your mom is exactly right, basically people rig their vehicles up to farm equipment and see who can pull it the farthest or fastest or... something. I wasn't entirely clear on what the goal was but it sure was loud.

Yeah, I live in Charleston. Fistbumps anyway, we have tractor square dancing. I'm not making this up. This is an event that happens for real in the fall.

It does smell pretty bad, but it's kind of awesome in a brainless sort of way.

Okay, see, you get some tractors and people to operate them, usually four, and while some jug band plays typical grab-yer-partner-do-si-do music, they like... turn and spin and sort of... roll in a pattern that resembles a square dance if you're not picky.

Basically it's like this: Country folks like Nascar, but most folks can't afford cars like that. So instead they pimp out their trucks and tractors. Like on Pimp My Rides. Paint and fire farting exhaust and everything.

Then they hook up big heavy things to said trucks and tractors. Cuz trucks and tractors are not known to be fast like Nascar cars. But they ARE strong. Then they do their best to pull said big heavy things.

The winner is the one most likely to make their engine fall out. There are sometimes explosions.
