HEAD'S UP, WATCH PEOPLE.


EVENT ANNOUNCEMENTS. The regular patrol log will be kicking in next month - first week of March, or thereabouts. I'll post again when I have an exact date planned out, and expect a coordination post on that to go up as well.

We're also going to have a mingling log once more new people come in - it will double up, however, as the meeting log that Roy was meant to have before he wound up in the hospital. Make sure to clear your calendars for that: IC announcement will be within the next day change, and the log itself will be going up on the 24th, in-game.

Outsiders and people whose muses are interested in joining the Watch are welcome.


NEW POSITIONS OPEN. I'll be adding this to the actual post, but Roy's been looking for people who can man his office - they're not expected to patrol, but they are supposed to help him out with paperwork and the like. If interested, ping here.


OTHER REMINDERS. Watch folks are assumed to be on their shifts unless they absolutely cannot make it - they're also expected to be at training on a daily basis. These things are generally handwaved, but it might be good to keep them in mind when you guys plan out logs for your pups!


ON sexy MOTORBIKES. Watch people are expected to have a bike for so long as they can drive. There's transportation stuff on the mod post for signing up for apartments, so if you think your muses have wheels or should have them, mosey on over to that form. XD

Oh yeah. Please let me know if your muse HAS a bike already, and is using it for patrol. That way, I can note it down!


ON THE WEAPONS AND SUPPLIES REGISTRY. As stated in the Watch website (over here), Watch members that do not have partners are licensed to carry weapons. ICly, how it goes is that at the moment you sign up, Roy has your muse fill out a request form detailing the kind of weapon you want to use. It's up to him, however, to determine what you ultimately end up with, based on the supply and his assessment of your muse.

I should have done this earlier, buuuut better late than never, right? As such: I need all of you to reply with the name of your muse who's on the Watch and the weapon they requested for. Some things to keep in mind:

1.) Every Watch member is licensed to carry just TWO weapons of choice. Ideally, it should be one ranged weapon and one melee, but you can mix and match.
2.) Whatever is decided here is meant to replace whatever you've come up with on your own for your muses. We're doing this to keep things realistic. Roy, for example, wouldn't allow you to carry bombs, so it wouldn't do to assume that you were. There is also the issue of exotic or heavy weaponry that might be a bit too dangerous or risky to just lug around on patrol I know it's IC for some folks to have things like that, but it's also IC for Roy and Shibusen to want to keep things as safe as possible within Death City. As a general rule, the things Roy will allow people to carry are weapons typically used by police men and patrol folk. Anything outside of that is up to negotiation.
3.) If your muse is partnered, but you still want them to have a weapon of some sort, you're free to reply as well.

If you want your muse to request for particular supplies that aren't weapons, let me know here as well.

ARMSTRONG: Doesn't have a bike, and doesn't really have any weapons as well for the moment. I guess eventually he'll just make do with a firearm, since gauntlets and knuckles aren't exactly that all common I suppose. :|a And he is partnered to Masaru \o/

Allen Walker ...I don't think he can drive so uh, no to the bike. Weapon wise he requested knives but that'd only be melee range...if Roy gives him something else he will probably learn to use it. But really, he's more of a brawler 8D;;

S-somehow, the image of Allen trying to learn how to drive a bike is really cute... (have I mentioned that I love D.Grayman. Yes.)

Combat knives are good! If Allen likes, though, Roy could get him knuckles or gloves. I think those should be easy to secure~

Okita: Could really use a sword until he finds a partner, since that's the only weapon he's really proficient with. He's used to carrying the usual two-sword set, but one is more than sufficient, especially since he probably won't have much need to draw them (one hopes, anyway.) He has no transport, but he's used to foot-patrols anyway.

Can drive, but has no money to buy a bike with. Unless it's one of the perks of the Watch, then he'd definitely have one. Partnered with Date, if you could call that a partnership right now >_> He has two 9 mm guns, which I am hoping to swap for replacement Ebony&Ivory when things get better, no swords since he can partially transform.

Motochika!
Can't drive (what is a bike?). He wants an giant anchor so he can make his weapon himself. Yeah, that's not going to be possible so I'll leave him with a metal pole and maybe give him something to stick on the end to bash things, if I can figure out that something.

For Dante: Easy access to a bike is one of the perks of being on the Watch, I think, so the only thing he has to worry about is maintenance! Aaand check @ two guns~

BIKE: If it's all right, we can say that Gray's been doing the silly motorcycle licensing the past few weeks and will soon be in the possession of this baby (http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/61/Buyers-Guide-Specifications/2006-Honda-599.aspx) if he is not already.

WEAPON: Hm, he's partnered so it's doubtful they'd really need it. And he can transform partially, too, but some sort of ranged weapon might do him and Toph some good. Thing is, Gray's got no real gun training. So unless you can provide him with a bow or something... and even with that, his bow and arrow skills are only JUST going to cut it. He'll need practice.

Bike: She is poor right now and can't buy a bike, however, she will take the license since she used to have a James Bond type of bike back home and feels nostalgic. If the Watch provides a bike, she will drive it gladly.

Weapons: Since you probably don't have nipple spears that can cut through everything ( |: right?) nor a tampon-knife ( |: i don't even), Stripperella would request any gun and a long knife. She isn't the type of be specific on the weapons others would give her, because she is used to use modified weaponry created by her Agency. So she'll leave Roy to decide on what to give her.

Karkat doesn't have a bike, but actually I did want him to get one. The thing said there isn't really an age limit as long as they're capable, right? Because he's 13.

Also, he's a weapon and partnered, but he's going to insist on that sickle he asked for. If Roy pushes, he'll admit it's because Vriska's been after him. And she has a weapon now, the Cheshire cat, so he's really in trouble if he has no way to fight back.

Also his partner wouldn't be any help, since he and Selendis don't live together and she doesn't know the full scope of their, um, disagreement. It'd be weird for him and impractical for her to share a place anyway. :V

Vergil has been spotted on network at least once with a motorbike, time in question likely being when he picked it up, or close to, as he hadn't previously been seen with it. His only actual lethal weapon is his katana, though he also owns the beginnings of a veritable arsenal of proper training weapons. All paid for with his own money and legwork.

He was uh, looking into picking up a lot more real weapons, but if the limit is two, then he's likely to spend his small fortune on both a higher quality katana and custom-made nodachi, and donate his current weapon.

Train needs one gun and one gun only, though he'll likely hand over the 9mm that Roy gave him and upgrade to a proper revolver, as is more his style. He would not be caught dead using a melee weapon, as he is more than capable of using both gun and his fist at close range.

He may also be of service in acquiring said supplies/weapons, and he would very much like to steal the Watch's abundance of man-power if possible. Even if not, after he goes on his mission with Jade he'll have the tools necessary to produce ammo for the people in the Watch who do use guns.

JADE HARLEY cannot drive, so do you really think giving her a bike would be a good idea? No! She would much rather have something else to scoot around Death City on. She would have asked for a gun, of course. Preferably a rifle but she would have also put down that any sort of other firearm is good too!

Actually, for cities, maybe just say...a pistol? Two of them? Dual-wielded Flintlocks are canon after all. Train is getting her a rifle, however...illegal it is.

Yuna: She doesn't really carry around weapons anymore, now that she has Yuuri and can literally summon him from pretty much anywhere. She also doesn't ride a bike, though she would be willing to learn how.

Lady: Putting her here since she'll be signing up shortly. She'll want duel 45 ACPs. She would want an SMG too, but I highly doubt anyone would let her have one. She'll also DEFINITELY want to be able to ride a bike, since she had one back home (well, before Dante trashed it).

Ran Fan can't drive anything, but she's fast and resilient enough. She asked for kunai, probably as many as she'd be allowed.

Lloyd Irving has experience with Rhieards which are kind of comparable to motor bikes but they fly. With some guidance he may be able to figure one out. I'm sure he would ask for two swords. If he can only have one I won't complain but he will, lol.
