So, hey there guys, Strider here.
I've noticed an increase lately in the amount of anonymous complaints at other communities people are having with Homestuck characters various text. I honestly don't think it's anyone here. Really. That's not what this is about. I just figured that I might as well get this out in the open.
Man-D was kind enough to post this lovely cast wide permission post back in December. So far, it's been unused. I just wanted to make sure people knew it was there. I'm not an official spokesdude or whatever, but I know that we (as a cast) want to maximize the number of people we can play with and to make sure they enjoy playing with us. Not a single one of us has an issue with using regular text in voice or video stuff. So if, for whatever reason, you would prefer to interact that way? It's totally cool! None of us are going to judge you for it. You can post in that link that you would prefer to do things that way. Or, if that makes you uncomfortable, you are free to PM me or anybody else in the cast. Everyone is super sweet and they'll try to accommodate you. We don't bite, I swear.
Anyway, that's mostly what I wanted to say. Basically, help us help you to enjoy your RPing experience with us. Thanks guys!

Oh, and btw, for the cast wide permission post, you are allowed to ask for just specifically one character to not use their particular text around you! In addition, I think a lot of us have our own permissions posts too, in case that doesn't strike your fancy. Or even on our HMDs? So yeah, don't be afraid to go ahead and do that if there is just one particular quirk that you just can't read! That happens pretty often.

A suggestion, though! Maybe it would help if that permissions post said what it is for? XD

But yeah what they said, it's easy enough to use text or voice if that makes people more comfortable, and I'm happy to set the angry grey rash aside if that makes things easier for other players. Somebody in chat mentioned having a hard time reading Courier, but damned if I can remember who they are now, and I always wonder when I post Karkat text.
Anyway the text issue came up on the cast permissions page, and it's the first thing addressed on my personal one. Everyone's free to hit either up if they like! :V

It's easy enough to contact me, just hit up that journal entry and it comes straight into my inbox. In addition, feel free to PM me!

Hasn't been a huge problem, although I did have to change my f-list layout a bit since the color codes + my layout were = migraine triggers. (Mostly have that sorted, though, and there's nothing much you guys could have done in that respect anyway.)
Thanks again for this.
