Joint Permissions Post & Pterodactyls!!!
HEY GUYS~ Tired of seeing posts from us on your flist yet? :D
This is Tara and Devon, aka Josh/Celty and Rhode, here to bother you just a bit more! What with the whole power-returning event, and our set of mind-screwing little brats, we figured it best to put out something of a PSA. Their powers have limitations, of course, but they’re still pretty much. Psychically intrusive. So.
In canon, Rhode can do ridiculous amounts of crap to screw with your nightmares and dreams and general emotional stability. For the event, though, she is only getting back her ability to hear thoughts and go into people’s heads-- but not actually screw with anything while she’s there. Basically, to make it easier to limit Rhode’s nonsense, characters will be able to sense/feel her if she tries to go into their heads. This makes it 100% easier to justput a knee in her gut punt her, and 100% harder for her to have her fun while being sneaky. It’s a habit for her to just peruse people’s brains when she’s near them, so if someone sees her/hangs out with her while she has her powers, they’re likely to get some attempted mental loli trespassing.
Joshua, on the other hand, has his abilities severely dampened by location alone. This is not his city. He is no longer omnipotent. This is good news for your characters. He can however still read minds, but he has the same limitation as Rhode. He’s unlikely to delve particularly deep into your character’s mind unless he has a reason, but if he does, they will feel him and have the rights to kick him out. Mental blocks for the win. Mainly, though, he’ll just be skimming emotions and thoughts off the proverbial top of the mind, so chances are it may not become an issue. His imprinting/brainwashing abilities? Also gone.
