This is Steph/Namatame-mun, back from AnimeNEXT and bringing in a second character--Naomi Kimishima from the Trauma Center series, AKA those weird games about doctors that I have been fangirling over forever. PLAY IT it's awesome and I would love canonmates sometime in the future. Naomi is a vaguely kuudere surgeon turned Miles Edgeworth who hears dead people medical examiner turned spoilery spoiler of spoiler. She'll be a meister with the ability Soul Bandaid!

Naomi's taken from after the ending of the latest game, so obviously there will be spoilers. If you want to avoid said spoilers, please tell me here or at my concrit/contact post!

SCREAM. NAOMI. I totally haven't played Trauma Team but she was such a cool doctor in Second Opinion.

I didn't even know there were Trauma Center roleplayers. You have no idea how excited I am right now. /fangirls

There are! I...have a couple journals (Derek, Blackwell) but I haven't really used them in ages. I know there's currently a Victor playing at Somarium, though!

But yes, in general this series totally needs more love. IT IS MY CRUSADE to find canonmates if possible. I advise playing Trauma Team if you can, it is an awesome game full of ninja doctors and CAPTAIN EAGLE and then stuff like Naomi's storyline, which just killed me with the ending.

I'm going to get Trauma Team as soon as I can! I love Trauma Center so hard ;o; I don't understand why it isn't more popular since it's so awesome but I guess not everybody understands that surgery is EPIC and AWESOME.

Also, I could probably list a variety of reasons why it might not be some people's thing (a couple of which are being phased out, but this is the fifth game in the series) but it IS epic and awesome yes. I do love it so.

If you have a Wii, I do recommend Trauma Team! There's less operation recycling going on there and it was a huge blast to play. Second Opinion is...slightly necessary for Naomi's storyline, but they make a point of only alluding to her past rather than centering around it.

I do have a Wii! I think I will probably wind up asking someone to get me Trauma Team for my birthday or Christmas or something, just because I do want to play it. I heard that Second Opinion is way easier than the DS game in the Derek part of the game, though, so it'd probably be worth getting anyway.

Second Opinion is easier, especially with. Well. Easy mode. Trauma Team is...I dunno, surgery is mostly straightforward and less FLAMING BUGS ON THE HEART but then Diagnostics. Nothing has given me an appreciation for what doctors can do like staring at a CT scan and knowing that real doctors don't get "Oh hey, you found everything" messages.

There's the different specialties--the main hook is six characters, six specialties, six stories. You don't get too much in any one specialty (Diagnostics gets the least with around six episodes, though each is decently long; surgery gets the most with around ten-ish) but all told there's around forty or fifty playable episodes over six characters. Most of the medical stuff is pretty normal and instead it's the characters that are crazy (ninjas and superheroes!).

Ooooh. That does sound pretty fun. A bit different than what I'd be used to in a TC game, obvs, but I could probably part with the heart spiders and heart eyeballs with that much to do.

Believe me, there are a couple remnants of the whattheheckheartspiders medicine. It gets crazy (in multiple senses of the word) leading up and during to the last chapter.
