... ANYWAY, HI THAR ♥ I'm your friendly neighborhood speculated ADD Aerith-player bringing in my second character, Aya Brea from the Parasite Eve game series!

If you've never played the games, just turn Cloud Strife into a female, switch the buster sword into a gun, and you've pretty much summed up the unoriginality of Squaresoft in the late 90s.

Despite the continuity problem of her character design in the games (PE 1, 2...3 ?) she's pretty, bad ass, and likes killing freakishly mutated mitachondrial monsters in her spare time. She also has an extremely protective motherly/sisterly attachment to her little adorable clone Eve.  Oh, and she's a Meister, with the Soul Tsundere ability! Yay!

Well, PE was based off of books at least. Vagrant Story seemed to be pulled out of nowhere and was pretty interesting despite how annoying it was... YOU HAVE A POINT.

Vagrant Story was made by one of the most original teams in JRPG development. Same team made Ogre Battle, Final Fantasy Tactics, and FFXII. I will miss them (since the head/director retired after FFXII).

You forgot Brave Fencer Musashi, Chocobo Dungeon, and Xenogears. All from that era.

...BUT YOU HAVE TO ADMIT the gameplay was infuriating in VS. I beat it only with the decision to never play it again.

Dear lord you have a good memory. Xenogears rocked my world, btw. Brave Fencer Musashi annoyed the ever living hell out of me, but the gamep lay was freaking ADDICTING. I see a pattern here.

the good memory comes from being old and from those games hitting the shelves when I was in high school. And yes, I raged at Brave Fencer so much. Yet I kept playing it...
