Villainous Characters, Drug addicts?

Where you all at? I was thinking of having Megumi here get hassled by some random NPC punks (the ones you make up, not the ones the mods use!) in a post tonight or tomorrow so that people can bust in and save her. Then I was like, wait, this is a great neg CR opportunity-- anyone wanna be a mean nasty bad guy?

Speaking of doing bad things: Fire Candy cast, I believe that you guys are addicted to a drug? What would your characters do if they found out that a lady just arrived who has a sordid past of making opium? She totally carries around her box of medicine powders/herbs/etc around with her.

Ohh dear, you realize that tossing her towards the Fire Candy cast saying 'she can make drugs' is pretty much like dangling a piece of juicy meat into a cage full of wild animals, right? XD

We're already talking about it in the other thread so I'll just quickly toss out that Ryoki and Haru are still addicted to it while Leo stopped taking it a short while before the series starts due to private reasons, switching to chain smoking instead and that I'm totally up for plotting! ♥

Ooh, awesome. Leo's experience quitting would certainly influence Megumi in her investigation of whether or not it's physically necessary for Ryoki and Haru to have a drug, and whether it's more humane to make something or if she should refuse.

XD He could give her good reasons for both, doing it or not. If asked he'd say that it's more a problem of the mind-kind than health, though. Any guestions about being 'humane' to any of them might make him quickly react pretty bitter, though.

Partly, yes! But also because they never were truly treated or acknowledged as something truly alive with human emotions and the like by anybody who wasn't a Half as well before (hell, half of the Halfs themselves don't seem to think that way!). So it'd be a quite bitter irony for him. XD

UNFORTUNATELY. Ryoki is in jail, but hey, I'm pretty sure Haru will be nice enough to let him know about it.

Would you and your cast mind some complicated slightly negative cr? This lady here is super cool/tsun and she has quite a mouth on her when she gets upset. She won't be nice all the time.

Inwardly though, Megumi would have really painful mixed feelings of disgust for the drugs and sympathy for the victims of said drugs, plus shame and guilt.

She miiiight be eventually willing to make them something non-lethal if she finds out all she can and decides there's really no other way for them. But that would be a long term development.

I can't really promise anything, I'm sorry. Ryoki is an extremely volatile character and it's hard to tell what he'd do without having the situation developing first.

He is used to humans mistreating him, so harsh words don't mean a thing to him, but if she presses on sore points, he can be quite rude, even if he will be begging for drugs. Because that's the only thing that will ever make him beg, yeah.

But his main objective would probably be trying to play nice with Megumi in order to get said drugs. And by nice, I must add he won't be a gentlemen, but he won't be all nasty towards her like he usually is towards everyone else.

That's totally cool. I think this is best played out as opposed to pre-plotted from what I can tell of your pups and mine, because this could totally go many ways. From what I'm hearing from Leo's mun here, I'm guessing I'd like her to meet them. If she ever found out about their experience, she'd have a major Hippocratic oath dilemma on her hands, and I think that'd be interesting.

Megumi wouldn't mistreat anyone-- not her style-- she would snap back with very harsh honesty if she felt the need to defend herself.

She carries her medicinal powders and the dangerous part, like any pharmacy, is really how they're put together. I'm not thinking that she'd make anything "bad" voluntarily... especially not without mod permission. But I'm interested in having her wonder if in the case of these addicts it's more humane to do so.

Oh man. Haru just got out of a week of forced rehab, so he would be ALL over this like flies on shit.

He doesn't want to quit. He has the opportunities, has overcome the worst of the withdrawals, but he just doesn't feel good unless he's fucked up on something. And he even OD'd on a bunch of painkillers right before I went on hiatus! So if he found out Megumi could make him something, he would definitely be trying to get it.

Howeveeer, I'm not sure how he would find out since he tends to keep his drug problem very hush-hush. Only his closest CR knows about it. :|a

Megumi would not want anyone to know about her past, either, so they're alike. It'd be something that say, Saitou might mention in a post someday if his mun wants. The FC cast would be able to overhear on the network.
