So! As you guys may have noticed from Arthur's recent post, Merlin has in fact been missing for some time. Ever since this log, which happened on the day of Merlin's arrival. This was July 26 in-game, and since it's now August 2, that makes it 8 in-game days that Merlin has been missing. Unless I've miscounted somewhere. (And, since the log is still on-going and some of you may be wondering - basically, Merlin runs off because Arthur gets extremely angry at him for the whole "not telling him about the magic" thing)

Anyways - Arthur is now looking for Merlin, and we'd like a few people who can say they've sighted Merlin around the place. We don't want too many people to have seen Merlin - one or two preferably, three at the very most - but if you've got a character who you'd like to have spotted him, just comment here!

For reference, if you just take a look at this handy map - Merlin has been mostly sleeping on a bench hanging around at Shibusen City Park during the night (which is the number 1 in the yellow outer zone), while during the day he's been going to the closest Deathdonalds/Deathbucks store (the 0 inbetween the Inner Magenta and Teal sections) in order to escape the evil rays of the suuuuuuuuun! (despite this, he has still managed to get sunburned, btw)

Edit: Okay, we have enough people for sightings now! Badou, Namine, and Watson are all going to have spotted a Merlin. (Course, this doesn't mean other people can't poke Arthur with things like, "What? Merlin? Really?" or "How did you loose a servant?" XD)

Ahem. Right so since Badou was the one who collected Merlin from the school and all, maybe it'd be fun for him to have seen him in passing later on.

And he can be all "so you lost your pet sock-washer" to Arthur, because he so would.

Anyways, you can choose whether Badou spotted Merlin at the Deathbucks, Deathdonalds, or the park. Whichever one Badou's more likely to go to, I ugess XD

Should we assume that it was a sort of "spotted but not talked to" thing? Or do you think they'll have had some conversation in passing?

Since Badou's been spending his time working on clinic construction (orz I need to get him into that log! /fail) I bet he's been hitting up Deathbucks pretty regularly. (Guess it's gotta be Deathbucks, since there's no Dunkin'Deathnuts...Deathin'Donuts...er whatever, here.)

But he's probably also been stopping by Deathdonalds for lunch now and then. I can imagine him helping himself to a seat right by Merlin, saying hello, chattering away while he eats, and never once actually finding out WHY Merlin is living like a homeless person. XP

We could do that! Although, Merlin was been...well, pretty dammed depressed during all this. It might not work if Badou's the type to go and ask Merlin why he's looking so miserable.

And yes. Merlin has essentially been a hobo all this time XD

Well Badou can sometimes be wrapped up in himself and very detached from people. He certainly does come off and unsympathetic and even a bit callus in canon at times (like when a friend comes into the shop he works at and tells him this other friend of theirs just died, and Badou won't even give the guy one of his cigarettes or some candy that the person liked as a free memorial).

So in a really awful way, I could see Badou sitting with Merlin a good few times, all through lunch even, and never bothering to ask the poor guy anything about himself. Maybe he'd think about it in passing as he left, but then he'd shrug it off and forget all about it since it's not his business anyway. ...And just typing that makes me feel really bad for Merlin if it did happen. orz

Well, technically we only need one - but if you want one of yours to stop him too, that's good as well! And basically one of the two places I mentioned in the post - either the park in the yellow outer zone, or the deathbucks/deathdonalds in-between the magenta and teal inner zones. Whichever one one of your characters is more likely yo be hanging around, basically.

As for conversation - well, it'd depend. While Merlin's normally sociable, he's not going have been so in the last eight days. So he won't be approaching people, and I imagine people who don't know him wouldn't talk up a conversation with a random stranger on the street. If it's Namine who spots he, we could possibly assume like, a short "hello" and whatnot. Who are you thinking of sending?

Actually, I think it'll just be a sighting. Namine's steering clear of him for... some time, maybe. *dry* Probably around the park. Would that be alright?

Well he normally IS a much more cheerful and friendly person. But yeah. Loosing his magic, being kidnapped, random people being able to tell he's a sorcerer and then Arthur finding out about his magic and being Very Angry About It...well. Let's just say things haven't been so good for Merlin lately XD

In fact, life for Merlin has generally been causing the kind of expression in the icon above XD
