Hello Soul Campaign!

And thus the preparation for the battle begins. We thank you all for your patience through this since we know it's taken a very long time to get to this point--much longer than we first anticipated.

To Our Newcomers

First--for all our newcomers. Welcome and we hope you've enjoyed the game thus far. We're sure that you must be confused, so please take a moment to read this to catch you up on what is currently going on.

When Things Will Occur

All logs and posts for the battle will be going up late Monday, but the fight will not actually occur till Tuesday to give people ample time to join in or make last minute plans. If you want your characters to participate and do not know how to get involved, please leave a message here. Do note however that partnerless people will have a little more trouble being allowed to participate especially if they have no battle experience.

Do not worry--there will be a separate log for those who are not involved in the battle to get in on, and they will be allowed to hear communications to know what is going on in the battle.

The Battle Plan

The battle is outlined here by Shinigami.

In terms of how this will actually be played out, we will take our usual route. There will be a single log divided into five sections: north, east, south, west representing the different facades of Shibusen and then one for the inner Kishin Chamber where Adachi will be sealed.

Adachi will be NPCed by the mods but there will be another OOC post during the battle where people can post where they want him to go and any last minute ideas of what they might want him to do to their characters, or their characters to do to him--however if there are any big plans you want to have happen to your character that you know now please let us know here or IM us (contact information will be below).

There will be a single post for communications which Naoto will put up so that the main comm does not get flooded. So we will need people (non-combatants) who will be assigned to each group to serve as their communicator. If you are interested please leave us a note here. There are only seven groups so it will be first come, first serve.

Since Yukiko is part of the Investigation Team, and thus will be the bait to draw Adachi to the chamber it might be difficult for her to participate in the battle outside Shibusen.

However! If you are willing she can serve as communications for inside the Kishin Chamber which will be necessary for the final stage of the battle. Would you be up for this?

He is elsewhere. After some talk we decided to keep the heads of the team and the communicators different people. The leaders will direct the group but the communicators will be non-combatants who will follow them and keep tabs on what is happening.

Seems like you already figured something out but as a note if Minato will be Chie's partner then he will be stuck in the chamber as well--meaning he cannot participate in the outside battle.

He will, however, get a chance to fight Adachi once they trap him inside.

Just a question regarding Sara's meister ability -- does Soul Bait work automatically, or is it something that needs to be consciously activated? Basically, as he's still unaware of it, will it affect his fighting at all?

It works best when consciously activated, but it might turn on by accident since he is yet unaware of it nor has practice with it. It is mostly up to you how you would like that to play out and if you would like it to play out during the battle let one of the mods know.

While partnerless, if Hirohiko has combat experience he can still participate! There is a line of defense for partnerless people who can still contribute to battle. Please take a gander here.

i forgot to drop a line or two, but xanxus/kamui are out of hiatus and can romp around. /o/ xanxus will be with kasai as part of the covert ops thing (i'm guessing when the battle!log goes up, they'll be posting in the thread reserved for the inner chamber, or somewhere else??), and kamui will be with the medics.

There is a question we have for your Covert Ops characters--have either of you been contacted by either Skyler or Ghost (Kanda and Heine-mun, the other pair working on that) at all? They had a plot in mind that might effect Xanxus and Kasai.
