Intro Log Coordination - February 2012

For the intro log February 2012, here's an ooc post that will help all of us coordinate. Right now, here is the list of people in the log:

I would suggest tracking the thread relevant to you (for example, Kishin Chamber for me, as Spirit) and more or less just checking in the rest of the log from time to time.

There's no need to follow a strict system of pouncing on the characters in turns, or something, since we are all in different timezones and that would only cause delays. If you see a character hit up the starter threads, jump on them and take as many as you find comfortable without lagging your speed down. If you find yourself wanting to tag in the other threads (for example, tagging as Spirit in Soul Perception), go for it!

Some threads are slower than others, like the Outside Shibusen, Around Death City, and Communal. If you need to coordinate about things, feel free to do so in plurk, AIM, or here in this post. I'll make the sections below, and again, just track the ones that are relevant to you. I'll also be making one for questions to the mods. I don't have Internet at work except for email, but I can always catch someone online to answer for me.

For your reference, we have 44 applications that we're working through. We plan on accepting apps on Sunday or Monday, Philippine side.


If you still want to volunteer, it's not too late. Please comment here. We can always use more people!

I also need your opinions on possible changes to the intro log system here.



Aaaand, I am out of town for Saturday and Sunday, but I will be around in the evenings. I'll hit up the threads for my assignments when I get back and asap. /fyi

Soo... would it be okay to be super late to the party with this and pick up any stragglers? Since I'll be mostly AFK starting tomorrow and ending next weekend, but would like to have Bakura on newbie greeting duty again. If not, totally fine with having him sit it out this go.

I am thinking of streamlining the threads, specifically around + outside Shibusen to one thread.

But I don't know if it would be a good idea to condense Casualty Communal and Soul Perception into one, since they are both extensive threads.

Thoughts and suggestions?

Actually, I think around + outside Shibusen would make a lot of sense to combine. Maybe you could even put around Death City into it too.

But that might be a lot of information for someone to toss into the thread starter. :|a

It might be yea. @ thread starter. /chinrub. Around and outside have always been our tinier threads, so it should be okey, and that way I don't have to divide the volunteers between it. Let's see how it works out in April, no?

Around Death City is probably better off on its own. Still! One less thread would be good. XD Thanks!

combining Casualty Communal and Soul Perception into one might be too much... but I think combining around + outside Shibusen would work out. :|a like Jean said, it would make a lot of sense to combine them.

/nod nod, chinrub. We'll try that for next cycle, then! I'll rework the information that goes into the stuff, I think it's fine to let some of them be if they're in the FAQ or maps.
