Slightly. Why else would he stay at the Shinsengumi for such a long time, when he wes constantly bullied and beaten by basically all the other characters?
I really wouldn't know, actually--what I know of Gintama are bits and pieces, some episodes here and there. I could never get myself to sit down and just watch everything.
But I guess it would explain some things about his character. ;;; I think he also craves recognition and the camaraderie the Shinsengumi is so famous for, though? So even if it means getting bullied and beaten, he'd stay because they're his family.
You are so right! I'm not sure if I ever thought of him this way...And when they bully him he's noticed. Poor kid, maybe he thinks he doesn't even exist if he's not with the Shinsengumi. Or. I am wrong XD
