Monthly Modpost
Good day, Soul Campaign, and welcome to the monthly update!
In this issue, we’ll cover how best to coordinate your weapon’s form with your shoe color, what purses are in style for sandstorms, and the most manly way to grill your kishin egg souls. No, wait, sorry, that’s what’s coming up in the next Death City People Weekly. In this update we’re covering the plot kicking back into gear, our application cycle dates, and a few small changes to Morning Training!
The Plot
So we took a month off from the plot so our fantastic Plot Mod, Doc, could wrangle the old plan and a lot of new ideas together. We’ll have a longer event coming at the end of the month, with opportunities for partnered pairs but also unpartnered characters. Anyone can participate who is interested!
Further, there’s an upcoming opportunity for you sciencey types in the city which will be addressed further in the coordination post for the event, going up August 17th, real-world time.
Application Cycle Dates
Our next application cycle is coming to a close very quickly here - August 2nd is the due date. After that, the deadline is September 13th, six weeks away.
We apologize for slipping up on assigning betas this last round. Those who said yes have an additional five days to turn in their apps, and we’re sending beta readers their way tonight. The transition of app cycles and modteam has caused us to not be entirely on top of things the way we’d like.
Morning Training Changes
This month batches 1 and 2 will be merged under ‘combat instruction’ and 3 and 4 will also be merged under ‘sparring.’ This is to provide as many possible instructors to those who want to learn, and because the line between intermediate and expert is sometimes hard to figure out.
Teaching (or providing breakfast) at Morning Training is a paid position. This hasn’t been made clear in the past, but it is a job, 21 hours a week, with matching income.
This month it’ll be taking place in-game March 14th, also known as August 10th. The coordination post will go up on the 7th, and as always there will be opportunities to join the Morning Training team, as well as a chance to offer this month’s novelty class.
The Calendar
August 7th - Morning Training coordination post
August 10th - Morning Training
August 17th - Event coordination post
August 24th - Event begins
