Watch Shenanigans

With the recent spike in activity, The Watch has an increasing workload. Not only are they working to keep the guests of the city safe, but now with the picketing and rioting civilians, they're being called on to talk down, disperse, or in the worst case, subdue crowds and make arrests where possible. Needless to say, the city is in chaos, and as its protectors, it's the Watch's job to work to help restore order.

Shibusen will be lending additional agents given how short-staffed the Watch is currently, to aid in this. They're encouraged to try to talk them down and coordinate with the local police to handle the more trouble-making civilians as well as protect the non-combatants of the city.

It's a big job, and hopefully everyone's up for it. To maximize interaction and capitalize on this event, I'll be posting a big, city-wide log for everyone to tag into- non-members and members alike to defend or aid one another during this chaotic run.

Is this post going to have anything to do with finding the kidnapped people or forming the rescue teams? Or is this aimed to be mostly keeping rioters at bay/Watch fun?

So when you say non-members can tag in as well does this mean that Rose can catcall the Watch's peacekeeping efforts and/or get caught brutalizing some rioters?

Are we free to volunteer our characters as the lended agents? I know Yuri would be all for helping the Watch in these troubled times, but he hasn't joined the watch or anything.

Neji will be locating trouble areas and relaying them to their appropriate zone with a brief rundown of what appears to be the problem, so everyone's free to handwave directions if they'd like- accurate or inaccurate as they may be. He'll be looking primarily for a collection of souls in one area and may or may not know if they're armed or injured.

He'll be reiterating that the use of deadly force is prohibited against the civilians, and to avoid using it if at all possible. If it's a life-or-death situation well, make your own calls. But they don't need the civilians to have more fuel to add to the fire.

Further than that, he'll be located at Shibusen, working to keep the rioters at bay. He's up for any CR!

Takuto will be mostly running around like a chicken with its head cut off as he looks for Yako. But since his search will take him all around the city, he'll be dropping in here and there where his fellow Watch people need help.

Just let me know if you want a run-in or some help from a desperate Takuto.

Mello is going to be hunting for his kidnapped best friend, so he'll be all over Death City, too. When he's not on his actual patrol, he'll be doing that. Someone will probably have to remind him about that "no deadly force" rule. Possibly multiple someones will need to.

How bad would Mello react to finding out that Yami Bakura could locate at least one of the abducted people really easily if he just wanted to?

Steve is currently working with Tony and Bruce on some other stuff, but he will try to coordinate with the local police/agents/other members and try talking down those that are causing more problems.

So, Hyoubu will probably be...loitering is really the best word I can think of. Loitering and not being of much help. And you know, if he sees anyone trying to talk people down he'd probably go and play devil's advocate. Out of boredom. :D

Genesis will be taking to the sky for most of the event, as he'll want to go wherever he is needed most while trying to keep an eye out for those kidnapped.

He'll be most likely to swoop down on to individuals/businesses that need his assistance, so let me know if you want me to have him drop in.

Chika's partner is part of the watch, so she'll definitely be helping out now that everything's gone to hell.

Up for some threads with anyone, though she's definitely going to be spending some time with Zero in case they need each others help for what they end up dealing with.

Considering three of Kotetsu's castmates have now disappeared from the city (two permanently and one temporarily), he'll be kind of... really preoccupied with both helping out wherever he can in Death City as well as looking for his mistakenly assumed missing buddies. :'(

'A' I've always wanted to make CR with you T&B people, but I never was able to because what is being absent from the game for a very long time. Maybe I can try to have Genesis hit up Kotetsu? '3' He'll be working more for the Watch soon.

Amaterasu is going to be helping disband rioters peacefully and stopping people who are fighting. She'll disappear though to check in at the clinic. Boy, she's going to be exhausted after this.

Aqua, Eve and Giroro will be helping out, of course.

Giroro will be out and about with a modified paintball gun (because while he's acquired other weapons since coming, this is the only one that won't kill anyone though this one shoots paintballs at speeds that are above what is safe, so there's that.)

Eve will be hanging out with Keroro, so I guess anyone wanting to tag her will be double tagged!

Aqua will be around too, mostly attempting crowd control.

And...Hyoubu is probably out and about too. Mostly just for laughs and for a front row seat to all this chaos. If he wasn't convinced that he would end up spilling it, there would have been popcorn in this picture.

Fon, as the new guy he is, will be out exploring, try to stay out of trouble, and help out where he can, try to talk to people, even if he don't know much of what's going on yet. He don't want people to get hurt, after all, but if neccessary, he might restrain someone if they take things too far.

L is recently unpartnered and he is under doctor's orders not to exert himself after his exciting last week, so he's at the Watch Headquarters where he probably belongs. He's trusting Mello and Near to handle finding Matt but I am up for HQ moping if someone else is similarly benched.

Zero will be with Chika and also working under Lee as part of the Watch.

Oops, late to the party but Nanami will be around although partner-less since Hanabi is gone =( and probably just yelling at people in the financial district who are annoying her.

Another late arrival, but Sheena can be found on patrol during the day in the Residential District, or working as a Bouncer at the Bitch's Brew.

Possible unrest at the bar could lead to some fun times there.
