One: Excalibur things will be updated within the next day or two hopefully! It should still go up on the 8th/9thish. That day change anyway.

Two: I'll be posting Otakon pictures/general Otakon post if the others want to share pictures that way? :B

Three: I AM OFF HIATUS. HELLO. Prussia (seizeyoursouls), Nanako (junesplz), and Shalnark (shalnark) are now back in action and thus I WILL BE CATCHING UP ON TAGS. I might not check all of the old posts though so if you would like to build some CR and have also made a post recently, hit me up here and I'll poke it fo' sho'! I'd love love love to cuz I need to slam myself into this game some more. I MISSED YOU GUYS.

screams quietly I'M SORRY FOR DISAPPEARING I went out of town for a weekend and then got really busy with preparations for Otakon and then... went to Otakon. All while forgetting to hiatus. So, um, if you get a three week old tag from me, I'm sorry and don't feel obligated to respond ;;

On the bright side I accomplished this while I was away from tagging???

Intro Log Coordination - August 2011

It's nearly app cycle, so here's to prepare for the new intro log coming up!

Intro Logs: We need volunteers!

Every application cycle, we put up an introduction log for the new characters coming into the game. In these logs, members of Shibusen take the new guests around Shibusen and the city, bring them to the Casualty Communal, and inform them of being meister or weapon. This log is important to get the new characters more easily situated in the setting of Soul Campaign.

The threads, specifically, are titled:
- Kishin Chamber: Where they first appear. This used to be the chamber were Asura was kept, but is now unused except when the BREW decides to pull people in.
- Around Shibusen: A short tour of the school premises and facilities.
- Outside Shibusen: A view of the city and the desert beyond it.
- Around Death City: A glimpse of Death City as they go from Shibusen to Casualty Communal (through the commercial district).
- Casualty Communal: Where they are told about their new residencies, how to upgrade to other places to live, and to give them an opportunity to find out what they are via Soul Perception.
- Soul Perception: Various people with Soul Perception and Shibusen’s equipment help tell the new characters whether they are meister or weapon. The equipment takes the form of an X-ray that can show what a person’s soul looks like. It functions as a substitute for basic Soul Perception.

We need volunteers from the current characters to handle the August application cycle, due to the large number of applicants coming in.

How will it work? The NPCs will start all the main threads in the logs as usual. When characters reply to the section you are assigned to, you can choose to tag these players and therefore have that thread.

There are specific requirements that we need from the characters and players going to be volunteers. The mods and NPCs will of course be helping you if there are some things that you are uncertain about during the threads.
1. They have to necessarily be supportive of Shibusen or at least believes in promoting the well-being of the guests. Shibusen will ICly be approaching these characters to ask them if they can help, and Shibusen won’t do that if the character is known to actively move against them or is known for making trouble for others in Death City.
2. The characters need to be adequately informative and helpful. The new characters will be asking questions, so the volunteers need to be able to answer a good amount of them with accurate information.
3. The characters need to have a good know-how of how things work in Death City. Things like where to find the clinic, who to contact in case of emergencies, knowing about the Watch, trainings, shopping, and recent (and previous) attacks to the city -- these are some of the things that the characters might have to update their new buddies about.
4. Will be free from August 14 to 20ish, or can at least devote some tagging time for the log. We won’t be asking you to handle ten threads each or something, and we don’t need you to tag at the speed of light, but we would like all threads to be finished in a timely manner. We also need to make sure that all the characters have someone tagging them. It wouldn’t be nice if anyone was left out!

This set of volunteers will only be for this cycle -- should we need it again next cycle, we will coordinate it beforehand. The deadline for volunteering is August 12, which gives the mods and NPCs some time to revise the intro log threads to accommodate the volunteers.

! NEW: We will be adding another subthread of sorts for the next intro log, which will be in the Communal and will be open to all characters, volunteers or not. This way, people don't need to volunteer just to be able to welcome their preferred castmates into the game. However, please do volunteer if you can!

I have this tiny little mouse problem coming up. See...tomorrow (Thursday) my family and I are going to go on a bit of a trip. To fix this mouse problem.

It's a bit of an adventure, there will be pirates, a castle and princesses...also I think a certain Dr. Jones will be there but I'm not sure. Either way...I won't be back from this journey until late Saturday. So I won't be back until Sunday.

Wish me luck catching this mouse. He really is a bother!

Partnership coordination changes!

Okay! We're going to be rolling out some changes in the way the partnership list/logs are done. We'll be adding in a few things to encourage CR and more partnership opportunities, including individual meetups and teambuilding activities for potential partners! Neku will be making an IC post about these changes once the next app period ends and we've got some new people.

ICly, there is now an option for your character to be notified when a potential partner match for your character is found. This will come in the fact of regular (possibly monthly) posts with various filters to individuals, giving them a heads-up that they might want to try person X and that they can arrange to meet up and try an activity to see how they work together. These activities will be randomized per type, so the characters don't get to choose them, but the muns do.

There are three types of activities that characters can do:

Last, to make the matching process smoother the form to sign up for the list has been modified to include more detail, including a character's age, affiliations with particular organizations, intentions in finding a partner, some further questions about what they might or might want in a partner, and the notification option. If your character is on the list, we would like you to please look at the form and respond with information reflecting the updates if possible even if you've filled it out previously! And if your character is marked by a red cell on the spreadsheet, this means we need more information ICly and/or OOCly!

And once again, please also keep us updated on any changes that may occur with regards to people listed. The full list of circumstances is on the same page, but the major ones include drops, partnering up, and finding out new information like meister abilities/weapon forms.
