Hello!! I return from the grossness that is the world of academia to your open arms, Soul Campaign! My name is Setine and I play Cross Marian from D.Gray Man and Hajime Saitou from Rurouni Kenshin.

Also, I fear I am going to piggyback off of my own post to plot! This is for a player run/based organization based within Death Eater Soul Society.

The Science Watch With Cross and Stein the Science Guys

What does this mean? It means that Cross if forming a science department in a joint effort with the Watch. It's open for all characters who want to be involved in furthering the effort against the witches by creating defensive measures.

Unlike the Watch, it has no chain of command nor does it have assignments. It's to further the safety and winnability of this war- members are encouraged to work together for the common good of Death City. Every once and a while, members will present their work and findings, but other than that it's a very unstructured organization under the leadership and guidance of Cross and Stein. That is not to say that if you violate the Don't Be A Dick and Sacrifice Innocent Lives for the Sake of Science rule, they won't put that character in their place. Overall, once Cross does initial recruitment the science department is more of a you get in through knowing someone who knows someone or contacting Cross directly because secrets, while are his forte, require effort.

What does this mean?

if your characters have been involved in science, were scientists or doctors, they are welcome to join! however, there is a difference between the Watch and the Science ... Watch I guess- is that Cross actually does interview people. while it is open and everyone is free to join, Cross does actually have ethical standards when conducting research. That is not to say that if Cross rejects your character based on ethical grounds (really, he might only reject a character if they were say Hojo), that does not mean that they are not actually in the Watch. They will be assigned to more defensive measures than the more sensitive ones like soul research and the like.

Your characters can participate as beta testers! Remember that radio station that Cross has for the golems? Well, it's still open and he's still paying rent. Characters are free to utilize it, but it does have an override procedure and if your characters were engineers or just love doing techie stuff they can join this wing to help with seamless integration and actually work on the golems - which are only hybrids of these two creations (timcampy and geth if you're familiar with both of them): think of this in chrome and happy little flashlights for heads.

Engineers are wanted as well! Defensive measures are wanted all over Death City in case of a full on attack. Cross's idea is to use what makes Weapons and Meisters so great and harness them to create centuries like that Geth from Mass Effect all over the city.

and speaking of which HOT DAMN THIS IS MY SCIENCE JAM and i'm all over this like... doc on plots involving science, idk. just uhh, is it okay if my character's icly outwardly charming and nice and old and stuff but... having access to a bunch of tech and resources and ways to research stuff he wants to research will prrrrobably eventually result in all that being abused sometime, if he gets the chance to?

it's a fucking awesome folk band. the hipsters lose their shit over them because they're so good they're mainstream but their folk bands what to do.

of course! cross isn't perfect at screening people over text (read doesn't give a damn to).

Demona is proficient with science; she has knowledge regarding cloning, creating virus and pathogens, also antigens and other sort of genetic research. She is also pretty good with weaponry, not just using it, but also aiding its creation; and I don't mean handguns, I mean that she actually helped to build these:
